Well, if we are in mid-table mediocrity and you need to win to secure the title, I'll have a word on your behalf

Yeh, I hope you do, Barca brought them down a rung or two, now I reckon you can aswell

We have a good knack of beating top teams, yet floundering around the "lesser" sides.

Our youth system will serve us well this season and we will be back to help you out

I know Liverpool are the most successful club in Europe in history, can someone please tell me how many trophies (every trophy) they have won compared to Man U or any other big clubs?

Thanks

Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has snubbed the chance to join Liverpool in the summer. The Argentine has been strongly linked with a move to Merseyside but he says he wants to remain in Serie A, where he has a contract until June 2012. Napoli finished 12th in Serie A this season but despite the disappointing finish, Lavezzi wants to stay at the club.

"Liverpool's offer? I want to stay at Napoli," Lavezzi, 24, said.

"I hope everything will be made clear but it depends on the club not on me. I reiterate that my wish is to remain at Napoli."

doesn't necessarily mean he won't come, he said its the clubs choice not mine, so if the club go for money then he can still come

HARRY Redknapp is seriously considering a move for Liverpool winger Ryan Babel.

With the futures of David Bentley and Darren Bent still to be decided, the Tottenham gaffer is looking to reshuffle his attacking options.

And Babel, 22, wlalalalaved to Anfield in 2007, cost Liverpool £11.5million as they saw off competition from Arsenal for the highly-rated youngster.

Babel has yet to establish himself as a regular member of the side and has become frustrated after being used mostly as a substitute.

The Dutch international has spoken of his disappointment with manager Rafa Benitez. The former Ajax star is also wanted by several Spanish clubs.
Daily Star: Simply The Best 7 Days A Week :: Football :: Spurs target Babel

I think we should keep Babel because he's young and still improving.

No quotes, especially about the bit where he is dissapointed with Rafa. If that was true why would Babel tell his agent that he has no plans to move.

Yeah I know. I doubt it though. His agent said he wants to establish himself as a first team player with Liverpool and win a trophy, before he leaves.

Babel would be better off levaing in my opinion, he didn't really do much this year, and we are looking to get a top class winger and that would leave us with too many wingers. I think he should go to some place else where he can shine.

Five Liverpool players have been included in the Spain squad for the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa later this month. Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Albert Riera and Fernando Torres have been named in Vicente del Bosque's 23-man selection.

The Confederations Cup begins on June 14, with Spain taking on New Zealand in Rustenburg. The European Champions will also face Iraq and hosts South Africa in Group A of the tournament.

The final is scheduled to take place on June 28 in Johannesburg.

I don't agree with getting rid of Babel because I think he shows a lot of potential when he plays but sometimes he can over run it or play sloppy passes. I think if he stays he will become a top winger. I think we should bring in a top class right winger but not a left winger like some people are suggesting because I think Riera has done well this season and is good enough to start for us.

Why? If he would be happy as back up to Torres and we got him on a free it would be a good signing imo. It would leave us more money to spend on other areas of our squad that need to be improved.

He has had two years to prove himself and he hasn't. I used to really like him and saw potential but he didn't do anything this season. He doesn't get much playing time so I'm sure he'd be happy to leave anyway.
