We have £20m from the owners.. That's a certainty.. Unless they give us more, then that's what we have..

Tevez will be more than that, we could get Silva for it, unless a bidding war starts..

Hopefully the Silva deal will get done, I'd rather him over Tevez, I think we need him more..

The price for Tevez is believed to be in the region of 20-25Million. Surely the owners would kop up an extra few Million to see the deal completed?

Thing is, buying proven players isn't a certainty that they'll be as good/better for us.

It's the same risk as buying an unproven player really.

Buy one of each and they are both in the same boat - they'll still be unproven in our colours.

Kuyt for example, he was banging them in all over of the place, we signed him, a season later he's playing on the right.

Definately not saying we shouldn't buy big, because we definately need more from the bench, there's no doubting that, but there's more to signings than picking out the players who make the papers.

Thinking about it though, would Tevez really fit in here?

The only real option is the left and i can't see Tevez being happy playing there. Not only that we would be playing with two strikers on the wing and would be lucky to get any crosses into the box.

Where as if were to sign someone like Silva who can play on wings, back up Stevie and would probably gel well with the rest of the Spanish lads.

Said it before, getting a striker like Tevez would give us the extra option.

There have been a few games where teams have drowned out either Torres or Gerrard and we haven't been as effective.

With someone like Tevez or any other great striker, we have the option of changing the system effectively.

Not seen much of Pranjic to be honest.

So Silva.

liverpool_fifa, rafa hasnt bought a world class player for liverpool, but he has turned 5-6 of his signings world class. we dont have the funds to buy world class players, even torres wasnt world class when we signed him, and i thought he would flop. he has bought players like torres, xabi, agger, reina, mascher and kuyt to some extent and turned them into great, if not world class players. none of them cost much over 20 million. add to that players like skrtel, yossi, arbeloa, aurelio, luis garcia, crouch, and soon to be ngog who have been bought by him for less than £10 million and have proved good to great signings. rafa is a great manager when it comes to transfers.

for the summer, i would LOVE us to sign negredo, who has everything to suceed in the prem. he is big, strong, quick and agile, and is a good finisher. he has more or less put almeria into mid table. silva would also be brilliant, as would tevez, as that would wind up the mancs proper.

i can see us being taken over though, as the yanks loan runs out in july, and that would mean we might even have david villa money. damn, thinking about the david villa and torres combination makes me need a cold shower.

What do you mean Torres wasn't World-class before you signed him. He was one of the best strikers in Europe, proven in the Spannish national side. Why do you think the Manc's were so crazy about him before you guys.

world class is overused these days. he was a good player, but he definetly was not proven. he had never got more than 15 goals in a season in spain, which definetly isnt world class. he didnt exactly set the world alight when he was playing for spain either. the mancs tried to buy him as he was young, and he was obviously going to develop into something special. he definetly would not of started for them.

most of the excitement surrounding him was the fact that he was doing well at a young age. if he was world class, then the klebersons of the world must also be considered world class.

my mistake, i mistook his record tally in spain for his last season in spain.

but my point stands, 19 goals in a season is DEFINETLY not world class.

on another note, why is there so much hostility between liverpool fans on here? i make a mistake and one of you jumps down my throat, and i voice my opinion and it gets dismissed because its not what that person thinks. this is not the liverpool way.

Very good chance it will be since it's the only leaked kit with the new Adidas design. It's very nice but it's got those built in bra's

He was not world class. The Spanish media constantly bashed him saying he'd never make it and that Atletico's faults were down to him.

It looks fake cause of the creamy colour around the badge and sponser

You'd have to change to something like:

----------Torres----------------

--------------Tevez------------
Riera-----------------------Kuyt
-----------------Gerrard--------
----------Mascherano-----------

not sure if that is realistic - Tevez can counter attack very effectively.
