Are you trying to say that putting Fergies head on a referee doesn't make more sense than a picture which I can only understand as meaning every Liverpool player is actually Alex Ferguson?

What about when it happens against teams other than Liverpool and we (liverpool fans) mention it. We don't give a lalalala about other teams but we still point it out.

So explain to me how Ronaldo gets away with kicking out at a player twice? and how Rooney gets away with coming close to seriously injury that alborg player?

Do you understand what a joke is? No one has any proof Fergie controls referees but people can still joke about it. It's like people saying everytime Rafa does a press conference he says"FAHCT".

People do not "joke" about fergie controlling the refs... when ever someone says it, they are 99% NOT joking. People honestly, and truely believe united control everything within and around football. The refs, the fa, the draws...

There was after the match but alot of our fans were just happy with beating chelsea at the time, so it probably slipped under the carpet and was forgotten about after a few days. Not only that though Lampard got sent off for nothing so it sort of leveled itself out.

Alright maybe not all the time but you must admit thad half the time the mancs tend to get the rub of the green with the cup draws. Porto in the champions league and everton in the fa cup, when they could of played Barca and Arsenal, bit fishy if you ask me.

You can think its fishy all you like tbh..

Fact is you all only see what you want to see...

arsenal in semi fa cup a while ago but still not easy..

barca in semi's last year....

not "the easy route"....

milan in semi's year before....

milan in 1st round knock out year BEFORE that..

but they get the easy route right?...

Liverpool's class of 2009 have one foot in the FA Youth Cup final after a 3-0 thumping of Birmingham City at St Andrew's on Thursday night.

Finnish ace Lauri Dalla Valle enhanced his glowing reputation with two poacher's goals, while David Amoo's picture-book strike was the highlight of an exciting display following an immaculately observed minute's silence for the 96.

On this showing, it will almost certainly be Liverpool who contest this year's final with Man City or Arsenal, though no one at the Academy will take anything for granted ahead of next Friday's Anfield leg.

While the hosts seemed intent on a more direct form of football, Liverpool tried to pass their way towards goal from the first whistle. It almost paid dividends on six minutes when the fabulous Amoo crossed for Thomas Ince, who chose precision over power and was thwarted by goalkeeper Dean Lyness.

The opener came on 12 minutes when Birmingham's backline made a hash of Adam Pepper's corner. Dalla Valle found a yard amid the scramble and tucked beyond Lyness from close range.

Liverpool almost doubled their advantage shortly after when more confusion in the Blues defence allowed German full-back Christopher Buchtmann to drive an inviting ball across the face of goal. It landed at the feet of Amoo, but the former Millwall man skewed his effort.

When the second did arrive on 24 minutes it was a blend of yet more tame defending and a marvellous solo run from Amoo. The winger received possession near the right corner flag and, with only Dalla Valle in support, decided to weave his way past two defenders before beating Lyness at the near post to take his 2009 Youth Cup tally to three.

The Blues just couldn't handle Liverpool's 4-2-3-1 formation, and on 28 minutes they found themselves 3-0 down when Dalla Valla pounced on a loose touch from Lyness before slotting into an empty net.

It threatened to become embarrassing seconds later when Amoo once again skinned Shaun Timmins. The 17-year-old's low cross found its way to Nathan Eccleston and it took a brave block from Jacob Rowe to prevent another goal.

Andre Wisdom came close with a decent turn and shot from 25 yards, a feat that was matched by full-back Timmins a few minutes later during a rare surge forward by the Midlanders.

Dalla Valle should have wrapped up his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time following another right-wing burst from Amoo. The Finn found himself in acres of space at the far post but his header was too easy for Lyness.

Birmingham came into the game as the second half got underway, and it took a goalline header from Steven Irwin following a set-piece to maintain the three-goal margin.

Now it was Liverpool who were playing the counter, and they nearly got a fourth when Eccleston turned Rowe inside out before firing wide with his left foot.

Dalla Valle was next to probe, declining a square pass to Ince before sending a right-foot strike into the hoardings. The 17-year-old had one more chance to claim his treble after substitute Alex Kacaniklic cut back across the six-yard box, but the ball was lost under his feet.

The highlight of the second period came with two 20-yard blasts from Pepper - the first forcing a diving save from Lyness, the second hitting the post.

Liverpoolfc.tv man of the match: David Amoo.

Attendance: 4,238.

Liverpool Under 18s: Bouzanis, Irwin, Buchtmann, Ayala, Kennedy (cap), Wisdom, Amoo, Pepper, Dalla Valle, Ince, Eccleston (Kacaniklic 61). Subs not used: Chamberlain, Cooper, Robinson, Clair.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thomas Ince today dedicated Liverpool Under-18s' FA Youth Cup victory over Birmingham to the 96 who lost their lives at Hillsborough.

Ince and his teammates attended Wednesday's memorial service at Anfield, which marked the 20th anniversary of the tragedy, and the youngster believes it inspired the team to their 3-0 semi-final first leg win a day later.

"When we went to Anfield and saw the fans paying their tributes it was unbelievable. It was an inspiration for us," Ince said.

"We knew it wasn't only that we had a potential final to look forward to, but the fact that we could pay our own tribute to the 96 that died.

"It was pleasing to pay tribute to them with a 3-0 win and hopefully we have done them proud."

The forward certainly played his part on the night and enjoyed his role behind two-goal Lauri Dalla Valle.

"Over the last few games I have been playing in that position as it allows me to get in the gap between midfield and the back four, which allows me to do what I do best," he said.

"I am enjoying the role and I feel I am more involved in the game."

Hugh McAuley's men were leading 3-0 at the interval, but failed to add to their goal tally in the second half.

"Going in a few goals up helped us calm the nerves, but in the second half we got a little bit sloppy," added Ince.

"I think there were a few tired legs, but we can work on that in training and hopefully put the first-half performance on for a full 90 minutes."
