It seems like Rafa has finally given up on him.
As far as I know most Arabian countries including Dubai don't exactly have the best relationship with Israel. I'm not even sure if Yossi is allowed to enter the country. ![]() I may be wrong and hopefully I am. If anyone knows more about the subject please post. |

Much as I would love David to come to the Prem, it would be unfair to Kuyt, who has given a lot to you

Tom Hicks is expected in London early next week to discuss the future of Liverpool with Dubai International Capital.
The club's co-owner has been in a stand-off with DIC all week over their attempts to buy Liverpool for £400million. He is believed to have assured Amanda Staveley, DIC's chief negotiator in the UK, that he will be prepared to talk business at the same time as Liverpool will be in Italy preparing for their Champions League showdown with Inter Milan. By the time Liverpool return from the San Siro, the future ownership of the club could be known - and a DIC source said: "We are in the end zone." DIC is the financial arm of Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Staveley reports directly to him and chief executive Sameer Al Ansari - a lifelong Liverpool fan who has been the driving force behind two attempts to buy the club. DIC have been encouraged by claims that Hicks has agreed not to block the sale of his co-owner George Gillett's 50% holding. Hicks has also intimated he is still not prepared to sell any of his stake - but DIC appear prepared to go with that suggestion, for now at least. The source said: "To accommodate a deal, DIC, within reason, would accept certain agreements. "It looks as if we are in the home straight. A deal involving both parties could be imminent." After a week of constant cross-Atlantic negotiations through Staveley, lawyers and accountants, DIC are confident they will eventually control Liverpool. It is also believed that Gillett, who has wanted 'out' for some while, is not willing to sell a small percentage of his stake to Hicks. DIC dispatched a representative to Anfield last night to watch the Barclays Premier League match against West Ham from the Kop - where he was able to judge the mood of fans and hold general discussions with members of the 'Spirit of Shankly' group who have been campaigning for the end of the Americans' rule at Anfield. Fans chanted against the Americans before the game and at half-time, but not during the match or at the end. |

Like he gives a **** about the fans loool some1 could beg him on there knees wouldnt change a thing in his eyes, he'll only sell if it benefirs him enough financially. and no gillette isnt selling Hicks wont let him, this is what i mean by people getting sucked in by the media speculation. |

True but he doesnt score nearly enough goals and goals win games. Gives 100% all the time and i love his commitment, shows he cares about the club and isnt just in it for the pay-cheque. If he scored goals often he'd be fantastic but he doesnt. He's getting better though played great last night i think he may leave in the summer though |

NEWS STORYYOSSI: I'LL PLAY ANYWHERE FOR REDS
Paul Hassall 06 March 2008 Yossi Benayoun insists he is willing to play anywhere if it means helping Liverpool secure more silverware. The Israel international, who has enjoyed a promising start to his Reds career, can play in a variety of positions including the role of second striker, attacking midfielder and wide man. It is a versatility that has served Liverpool well so far this season, and while he admits that he is happy to be recognised as a winger, he is willing to play anywhere to help the Reds' cause. "Since I came to England I have played mainly as a winger, although I do come inside quite a bit too," he told Liverpool's offical matchday programme. "When Alan Pardew brought me to West Ham he told me I would play in the middle like a second striker. But then for the first game he asked me to play on the right because he wanted to go with Teddy Sheringham in behind Marlon Harewood. "We had a good game and and beat Blackburn 3-1. Since then I have played on the right. "I quite enjoy it on the wing. It is good to just play anywhere at a club like Liverpool. No matter where I play I will always try to do my best." Benayoun has scored 10 goals in 33 appearances so far this season, including hat-tricks against Besiktas and Havant & Waterlooville. It is a statistic he is pleased with and while he has not started since the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at home to Barnsley, he is content with his contribution thus far and is happy to wait for his next chance. "I knew when I came to Liverpool I would have to be patient," he said. "I knew that I would not play in every game, but I am happy with how things have gone. I have played in games where maybe people didn't expect me to. I have played in over 30 games this season and that is important to me. It is good to play and have an important role in the team." Benayoun hasn't played in a while... I want Benayoun back, I never knew he got 10 goals in 33 apperances. I hope he gets a start in the next couple of games.

But Yossi has done well, he hasn't played as much games than Kuyt but he has scored more goals. Yes, I know Kuyt is a hard worker and sets up a few goals, but Yossi should have more time considering the great performances he has shown us.

i'm not liking we are facing Newcastle. They are in a deep deep form slump and this weekend they could explode out of it.

MASCHERANO OUT OF NEWCASTLE CLASH
Paul Eaton 07 March 2008 Javier Mascherano has been ruled out of Liverpool's Premier League clash with Newcastle United tomorrow. The Argentine star limped out of the 4-0 victory over West Ham with a muscle problem and will be sidelined for the visit of Kevin Keegan's Magpies this weekend. He is also doubtful for the midweek trip to Milan when the Reds will be looking to protect a 2-0 first leg lead and book their place in the last eight of the Champions League. "I will need to speak to the doctors before we decide about Inter Milan but he will not be available this weekend against Newcastle," said manager Rafael Benitez. |
