More like still laughing, like I said before and I will repeat it - I LAUGHED when it came up that we were knocked out. I'm not just saying that either, i know its sounds pathetic but we did.

Bolton 1-3 Liverpool
Premier League - March 2008

Fabio Aurelio broke his Liverpool duck with a sweet volley as the Reds claimed their first Reebok win since 2002 - and a first away win in the league for three months. Ryan Babel also found the net while Jussi Jaaskelainen was left staring at his hands after spilling a Steven Gerrard hit for an OG.

Bolton 2-0 Liverpool
Premiership - September 2006

A hotly-disputed goal from Gary Speed helped consign Rafa Benitez's men to a third league defeat of the season. The experienced Welshman rattled the net from a free-kick after referee Phil Dowd wrongly adjudged Pepe Reina to have handled outside the box. A second-half header from Ivan Campo tied up the points for Sam Allardyce's well-organised team.

Bolton 2-2 Liverpool
Premiership – January 2006

It took a late equaliser from substitute Luis Garcia to rescue a point at the Reebok, with the Reds' other goal coming from a Steven Gerrard spot-kick. Anfield old boy, or should that be boo boy, El Hadji Diouf was on target for Bolton when he added to Jaidi's opener. The result brought a frustrating end to Liverpool's 10-game winning streak in the league.

Bolton 1-0 Liverpool
Premiership – August 2004

A game which saw Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia make their debuts, the latter finding the net only to have it wrongly ruled out for offside. The Reds lost to a Kevin Davies strike in what was Rafa Benitez's first defeat in English football. To make matters worse, Sami Hyypia suffered a broken nose.

Bolton 2-2 Liverpool
Premiership – February 2004

Gerard Houllier's side twice came from behind to earn a point against the Carling Cup holders. The four-goal thriller saw Nicky Hunt, Sami Hyypia, Youri Djorkaeff and Steven Gerrard on the scoresheet, but Michael Owen was left to rue a late chance to secure a vital win in the race for Champions League qualification. It was now four league matches without a victory in what proved to be Houllier's final season at Anfield.
Just seen our record at the reebok and didn't realize how bad it was Looks like it will be a tougher game than i thought tomorrow.

Your right its not the best, but in saying that they are 2 very different teams now imo, Bolton under Big Sam were a different proposition than under Megson now, they played root one and knew how to play the there strenghts, Under Megson they try play any kind of way lol, Liverpool should batter them if they play to there usual level, I can see Keano getting on the score sheet again tomorrow

RAFA NAMED MANAGER OF THE MONTH
Paul Eaton 14 November 2008

Rafa Benitez has today been named Barclays Manager of the Month for October.

The Reds enjoyed four straight league victories in October which soar them soar to the top of the Premier League table.

A thrilling comeback from 2-0 down at Manchester City was followed by another 3-2 victory at home to Wigan before the Reds travelled to Chelsea to memorably end the home side's unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge.

The month ended with another victory at home to Portsmouth, with Steven Gerrard sealing the points with a late penalty.

"I am really pleased to receive this on behalf of my staff because they are doing very well. People like Sammy Lee, Mauricio Pellegrino, Xavi Valero and Paco Di Miguel," said Benitez today.

"It's important for the staff and it's important because it means the team is playing well - you can't win Manager of the Month unless the team is winning.

"It means the club is in a good position. Hopefully we can receive more awards like this because it means we'll be in a good position at the end of the season."

DEGEN OUT FOR FOUR WEEKS
Paul Eaton 14 November 2008

Liverpool today confirmed Philipp Degen will be on the sidelines for four weeks after picking up a foot injury against Tottenham in midweek.
The Swiss full-back - who has endured an injury plagued start to his Liverpool career - sustained a metatarsal injury during the Carling Cup defeat and has been ruled out of action for the next month.

With Alvaro Arbeloa suspended for this weekend's trip to Bolton, manager Rafael Benitez is short of options for the right back position at the Reebok with either Jamie Carragher or Stephen Darby now likely to step in.

"It's a pity for Philipp because he hasn't had much luck with injuries so far, but hopefully he can come back from this problem quickly," said Benitez today.

"It's always a problem when you have two players for a position and one of them gets injured, and even more of a problem when the other player is suspended for a game - like Alvaro is this weekend.

"But we have options within the squad and we'll have to decide what we want to do for the game at Bolton."

Martin Skrtel is the only other absentee for the trip to the Reebok, with Benitez reporting no other fresh injury concerns following the midweek setback.

"A lot of players were rested for the game at Tottenham because they had been playing a lot of football, but they will be back this weekend," he added.

"They have looked sharp in training and will benefit from having a week free of competitive football."
Fernando Torres is likely to again get the chance to build up his match fitness after enjoying a one hour run-out against Tottenham on Wednesday.

"Clearly we need to be careful with Fernando and it was always the plan to ease him back in gradually," added Benitez.

"For the type of player he is, it will probably be a couple more weeks before he is back to his very best but the more time he spends on the field the quicker he will get there."

RIERA KEEPS PLACE IN SPAIN SQUAD
Paul Eaton 14 November 2008

Albert Riera has retained his place in the Spanish squad for next week's friendly against Chile.

Riera was a late inclusion in his country's squad for last month's World Cup qualifiers, but an injury to Barcelona's Andres Iniesta means he keeps his place this time around.

Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina are also included in the squad for the clash at El Madrigal.

Meanwhile, Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel have been named in the Dutch squad for their friendly against Sweden in Amsterdam on Wednesday.

Is Arbeloa allowed to play this weekend? If not i would like to see:

--------Reina-------
Carra-Sami--Agger--Aurelio

Kuyt--Gerrard-Masch-Riera---

------Torres--Keane-----

On another note i've nad a bet on 10 teams to win and if they all do i;m over a grand richer.

Havent got a chance

I think arbeloa is suspended.
My XI exactly. I'd like to see Insua on the bench as well.

I think we've looked better with the 4-4-2 when we've used it thus far this season. . Its just better for our offense.

We need to throw Darby in at the deep end to see how he copes with the pressure in the League. It could back fire and go lalalala up or it could be a baptism of fire and the lad could force Degen out in Jan, I have more confidence in the last.

Woman, 81, held over player raid

Leiva was at Anfield while the burglary took place
An 81-year-old woman is among five people arrested on suspicion of burgling the home of Liverpool footballer Lucas Leiva.

Raiders struck at the Woolton home of the 21-year-old Brazil midfielder as the Reds played Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on 5 November.

Police raided three houses and arrested three women, aged 19, 42 and 81, and two men, aged 21 and 45.

Police said they recovered an Olympic medal taken from Leiva in the burglary.
Leiva was the latest of a series of Liverpool players to be targeted by burglars.
In most cases, the thefts have happened while the footballers have been playing in matches.

Olympic bronze

The raid follows burglaries in the last 18 months at the homes of England dynamo Steven Gerrard, Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt, goalkeeper Pepe Reina, defender Daniel Agger and former players Peter Crouch and Jerzy Dudek.

Warrants were executed at properties in the Norris Green and West Derby areas of the city on Thursday night.

Merseyside Police said they recovered a number of items taken from Leiva's home.
A spokesman said: "Police can confirm that Mr Leiva's Olympic bronze medal, from this year's Beijing Olympics that was taken during the burglary, has been recovered."

He said the five were being held at police stations on Merseyside for questioning.
