Ahh feels good doesn't it?

Hoping for a draw between Man U and Chelsea and a win for us now.

I mentioned this in the match thread, but what do you guys think of Riera on the Left and Babel on the right. This would look pretty good going forward

Reina
Arbeloa Carra Skrtel Aurelio/Doss
Masch Xabi
Babel Gerrard Riera
Torres

Yer i would stick with those two on the wings.
I just dont understand why Rafa doesnt use Pennant more! Sure sometimes he is inconsistant but it would be a waste of talent if we dont use him at some point in the season.

I agree, it is a little weird we haven't even seen him on as a substitute.

I'd have him on the bench and play him on the wing over Kuyt. But that's just me

i feel like rafa should get rid of pennant and any other fringe players if he's not intending to play them, he's wasting wages and talent, it's that simple.

kuyt is committed to the cause but he's not a winger at all ...... dunno why rafa doesn't see that.

Even though Pennant is a natural winger, I'd much prefer to have Kuyt in the starting line-up.

I think the absence of Pennant is more to do with El Zhar.. El Zhar is younger and is about the same level as Pennant (minus the experience that Pennant has).. So Rafa maybe thinking that he can give El Zhar the games, which would improve his game, rather than play Pennant, who isn't likely to improve much anymore..

I think we'll be seeing more of Kuyt up front with Torres and Keane (rotating between the three) from now on..

Kuyt was pretty crappy yesterday

But the standout **** player in liverpool was Robbie Keane. He was totally useless, with the technique of a five year old

Did you watch the game yesterday?

Kuyt, like always, never stopped running and constantly harrassed the Manure players. And granted, Keane is still looking for his first goal but damn, he wasn't ****.

Are you a gooners fan though jocky? What else would we expect?

I thought Keane was one of our best players, so what if he didn't score.. He kept the ball well, and the amount of times he closed down the Man U players, he forced countless mistakes off them, giving us the ball..

His goal will come soon however..

Exactly. How many games has it been since we bought him? It's not like it's been a season long.

I'd love it if Berbatov doesn't score for a while. I'm gonna rip the **** into the Manure fans

Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle netted the winner as Liverpool's under-18s took the points in a thrilling clash with Newcastle United at the Academy.

The game appeared to be heading for deadlock with both sides level at 2-2 before Dalla Valle popped up with a smart finish to secure the points for Hughie McAuley's side.

The Reds had opened the scoring through a Newcastle own goal while Adam Pepper added a second for the home side. The Geordies kept hitting back to seemingly deny Liverpool victory until Dalla Valle netted to ensure a well deserved victory.

"We played some great football and fully deserved the win against a good Newcastle side," said McAuley.

I think once he gets his first goal, the pressure will lift off him, and he'll start looking more confident and shooting where he usually would.. It's not like he doesn't add anything to the team, so we can't complain..

No really, he was falling all the time, missing volleys. Felt like he didn't know where his legs where. Kuyt missed two very very good chances.

That said, they will probably improve. I just said they were crappy in the game.

edit: also, riera was awesome

You obviously watched the highlights last night, where he slipped trying to get in a cross..

Kuyt should have scored his second chance, but it was a good save.. But the first one.. I think it is physically impossible to pass the ball through three players, so he had no chance with that one really..

no I watched the whole game. But true, as 'Pool is not my team, I may not have paid much attention to their performance in closing down and stuff like that
