Krisztian Nemeth, Andras Simon and Peter Gulacsi are on their way back to Merseyside after Hungary were beaten 1-0 by Italy in the semi-finals of the European U19 Championships.
Nemeth and Gulacsi, two of the standout performers in the tournament so far, played all 90 minutes on Wednesday afternoon as the Italians prevailed thanks to a Fernando Forestieri strike. Simon was not involved. Italy will now play either Germany or hosts Czech Republic in this weekend's final. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ it was a good game, did anyone else watch it? |

Reds target allowed to leave
by Laurent Picard, 23 July 2008 Paris Saint Germain have told setantasports.com that Liverpool target David Ngog has been allowed to miss training, fuelling suggestions he could be on his way to Anfield. Reds boss Rafa Benitez said on Tuesday evening that he expected to make a signing on Wednesday and although Robbie Keane has been strongly linked, it could be Ngog who is on the cusp of a transfer. The 19-year-old Ngog has been linked to The Reds after making his first-team bow last term and he has been given permission to miss training with Paul Le Guen’s side. “David Ngog has exceptionally been allowed not to go to training today,” Paris Saint Germain’s spokesman Mathias Barbera told setantasports.com. “We are not allowed to say if a player is about to sign with another club, they shall communicate it if there is something.” Prem: PSG on Ngog - Setanta Sports |

not really because they wouldnnt put it on there
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Rafa Benitez is expected to up his attempts in signing Newcastle United’s James Milner according to reports in The Times. Benitez is understood to be in the hunt for a wingman, after being previously linked with the likes of David Bentley and David Silva, but as of yet he is still yet to sign anyone, which has sparked rumours that the St. James’ winger is a £7million target once again. Milner, 22, has been at Newcastle for four seasons since his switch from Leeds United, and is said to be looking for a move to a club with more silverware opportunities. |
