So you were better in 05/06..........thats going backwards
Yes in points.. We were 37 points behind the league leaders, 11 last year.. IIRC, Man U had less points last year than the year before.. Does that mean your going backwards.. No..

£18m for Barry is better then £17m for HArgreaves? LOL and you say i dont know anything about football outside United? Barry is an overrated average player, before he was linked with liverpool i bet you didnt think once that he would be great for you lot. Hargreaves on the other hand was one of englands best performers in the WC

For Carrick....he has been the best midfield buys in a long time, he played a huge part in us winning the league in 06/07 and he played a HUGE part in us winning the CL last season
If Barry was linked with United you would consider him brilliant, face it, this is the man who has kept both Hargreaves and Carrick out of the England team.. And my point about you not knowing anything outside of United is backed up.. Rafa WILL NOT pay £18m for him, he has said he is not worth it.. REALISE THAT..

Nani overrated?

remember?
OMG, he scored a goal, that must mean he is the best in the world..

Look at this..

YouTube - Golazo chilena Bressan (Fiorentina)

Heard of Mauro Bressan recently?..

Going back the the Keane Berbatov thing, the supposed Man Utd bid for Berba is an astonishing 28 million pounds.

Complete and utter garbage if someone doesnt think Berbatov and Keane are on the same level. Berbatov might be slightly better at dribbling, but Keane has just as much finishing ability. He'll do fantastic.

And i absolutely agree that Liverpool's defense is one of the best. We had more clean sheets than anyone in the premiership last season. If we can continue to build on that then we'd surely have a shot at the title. If new boys Degen and Dossena are going to play well a long with returnee Agger than we will have sound defense. We didnt have a problem keeping the ball out of our own net.

We just needed to score more goals...And that's where Keane comes in

He has..

He just has massive passport problems and can't get a work permit..

If we were United however, he could play for straight away..

Score more goals when they matter. Like when its tied. When we have more options (such as Keane) up front, it will be easier to score in that situation.

Also, i'm lovin' that sig

All comps:

Man Utd: 109 goals

cant find Liverpool's all comp goals but i doubt you have scored 42 goals in the other 3 comps

And in the Premier League (the competition that matters because everyone plays the same teams so its fair) we have conceded the least.

Diego Cavalieri makes his first start for Liverpool as the Reds continue their pre-season schedule against Lucerne tonight. The Brazilian stopper joins Philipp Degen and Sebastian Leto in the starting line-up with Jamie Carragher captaining the side in the absence of substitute Steven Gerrard at the Stadion Bruhl in Grenchen.

Daniel Agger will continue in defence while Spanish starlet Daniel Pachecho is once again in the side following his impressive performance against Tranmere.

The Liverpool team in full: Cavalieri, Degen, Agger, Plessis, Pacheco, Voronin, Leto, Benayoun, Lucas, Insua, Carragher. Substitutes: Hansen, Dossena, Hyypia, Skrtel, Gerrard, Aurelio, Darby, Spearing, Babel, Mascherano.

So where is the other 13?

And as i said the only fair way to judge is by looking at the Premier League stats because there everyone plays the same teams

In the champions league you got an easy group and in the FA cup and Carling cup you could have gotten league 2 teams (i KNOW you lot got Havent......how is thta fair? )

Absolute lalalala second half. Lucas easily man of the match for me. Too much of a love in on Pacheco from Five imo after his setup for first goal.

We completely fell apart after Leto went off.
Overall a somewhat decent, typical, pre-season game this.
