Just so i dont have to post on the Kun Aguero thread, That would be the ultimate pickup of the summer. He's got everything we need. Maybe Rafa's got a surprise for us!

I dont see anything wrong with the Barry bid. He's a great player and a leader on the field. Obviously Rafa has a plan. I'll be happy if he comes here.

+1 on the Mascherano thing. He's an incredible player. His relentless tackling style makes him a great midfielder.

i doubt Atletico would sell their star striker because then they would just be left with Forlan

I doubt the sale of Aguero as well. We dont have the cash to get a player like that.

would still be a fantastic pickup though.

We'll see what Rafa has up his sleeve this week. He's said that he's working with some players and hopes to get a deal done. Get ready!

We probably have about 20 million to spend plus the sales of Crouch for 10 or 11 million, Risse for 4 million and I think Itandje went for like 2 million. We also have players to offer like Alonso, although I kinda wnat him to stay.

I'm with you on that one. I'd love to see Keane playing for us.

We really do need a winger though. Weren't we linked with David Bentley a while back?

Keep Alonso for sure, he works well with Mascherano.

I hope it's Silva and Keane.

Silva can probably play anywhere across the front.

Keane is already a pretty good EPL striker.

That's the best case scenario. Even with us interested in Villa.

Yeah. Villa is a good striker.. but no other winger we've been linked with comes close to Silva.

So Let's get the best winger we've been linked with and the second best striker we've been linked with.

Serious links not bogus ones.

I'm just keener on Keane () because he's proven himself to be a fantastic striker in the Premier league, even with Berbatov there he stands out.

Well, when Kewell came he was a good player.
Injuries ruin everything. Don't you wish injuries could be switched off like they cna on FIFA?

I'm not saying it because it's Kewell.

If Ijuries never happened the sporting would would be better.

I say give Gerrard the number 7. If theres anyone who deserves to be up there with the legends that have put on that shirt its him. For me the number 8 is just a number but gerrard is a legend and the number 7 has been 'the legend number' over the years....well apart from kewell

Ronaldo could miss the game against us at the start of september if he does stay.

I personally hope he stays, it would be great to see the scum getting off to a bad start in the league which i think would happen with him being out from the start.

Even though hes always played quite poor against us he's still always a threat and I'd be greatly encouraged with him being sidelined for that game.

Gerrard has made the number 8 legendary. I think he should stick with it.

Hopefully one day when Lucas is the next Gerrard He'll get the number 8.

I have an opinion of every number really..

1 - Goalkeeper, need I say more.
2 - Your rock, the best damn defender out there.
3 - A speedy wing back
4 - Could be anyone, a Sergio Ramos, A Hyypia.. Usually a defender though.
5 - Mr Everywhere. Versitile.
6 - Defensive midfield, good on the ball.
7 - Skillfull player, play maker. Your everything.
8 - Powerful, reliable. You look to him in times of need.
9 - Speedy fella upfront, very skillfull.
10 - Has a strong shot, always being marked, he's the one you look to for a goal.
11 - Anyone.

Just my opinion

From that list I can see only one of those numbers that relate to my local squad..
I'm stuck with the 15 because the coaches son gets the number 9 Got it when I was playing for the school though

Liverpool:

1 - n/a
2 - Dossena or Degen isn't it? Not sure on either of them
3 - Finnan: He's not exactly a speedy wing back
4 - Hyypa: yep..
5 - Agger: You could say he's versitile.
6 - no-one, but if old red is anything to go on, no
7 - Kewell.. sorry mate
8 - Gerrard: Yep that's him alright!
9 - TORRESSS need I say more.
10 - Voronin:
11 - Benayoun..
