If they do then we're going to be showered with rumours.

I agree with that.

Eto'o absolutely.

I'm not sold on Ronaldinho coming back and being as good as he was... with all that's said about him partying Idk if i could trust him to come in and be as good as he was.

Maybe, if we were to bring him in that it would just be a change of scenery that he needs to fix his issues whatever they may be.

I'd say yes to both of them, depending on the price.

Eto'o: Class striker, would partner Torres well and would be someone for Babel to look up to (no not becuase they're both black, because Eto'o is quick like Babel, I think they're both similar.)

Ronaldinho: Set piece specialist. Just what we need.

do we though, gerrard takes great freekicks, aurelio can take them, alonso can take them if he stays, gerrard takes penaltys barry will when he comes, babel can, torres can

Aurelio won't last much longer I don't think.. Just a feeling, but I do agree.

Torres generally doesn't take penalties, tbh he's sucks at them, misses alot. Babel, never really seen him.

Gerrard does take them but I mean more like set pieces, not just direct free kicks. Someone that can float a pin-point ball into the area so someone big like Agger or Gerrard can get onto it. Just a though.

I've never seen Gerrard around the ball on free kicks and corners he doesnt take.
Well I've never seen him in the penalty area on a free kick.
Even if Riise took it Gerrard was lined up aswell.... I think we'll miss Riise and his ability to hit them from long distance if Gerrard was to go down.

i don't think having a set piece specialist is really a necessity i mean you don't get many direct freekicks that are in a good position imo so its good just having someone like Gerrard who can hit them weel even though hes not a specialist at it

Liverpool have completed the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Anfield after Liverpool agreed an undisclosed fee with Palmeiras for the custodian.

Cavalieri will provide cover for first-choice keeper Jose Reina and his arrival at Anfield will cast further doubt over the future of Scott Carson.
The South American insists he is up for the to fight to challenge Reina for a place in Rafa Benitez's starting XI next season
"I know it won't be easy to get into the team," Cavalieri told the club's official website.
Patient

"I watched some Liverpool games in both the Premier League and Champions League last year and I know Pepe is a very good goalkeeper. But everyone has to fight for their place and I'm sure we will have a healthy rivalry.
"I know I will have to be patient and work very hard to achieve my aims - but it is always like that when you come from another country.
"You have to adapt inside and outside of the pitch and get used to the way things work. But with hard work you get there.
"My confidence has got me where I am today and maybe people are aware of what I did at Palmeiras in Brazil. I am sure that one day I can get the No.1 position but that will only come with hard work."

Rafael Benitez is hoping some of the club's younger players will seize their opportunity when the Reds face Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

The Reds boss believes the clash with Ronnie Moore's men will give him a chance to monitor the progress of some of his fringe players and admits he could give Andrea Dossena and Philipp Degen their first run out in a Liverpool shirt.

"The first game is always different," he said. "It's the first time we will be talking about Dossena or Degen so my idea is to use the senior players and some of the younger lads because the Spanish players will come back later.

"We need to check on Gerrard and Vornoin and assess all the players that were away and how they are now. The players we have signed could be available and could play.

"My idea is to use a lot of players because they are not ready to play for 90 minutes. So we will try to protect them and we will give opportunities to the younger players.

"We know about the quality of the youngsters and some will come with us to the the pre-season camp. Every game you play is a test so they know they need to impress.

"If they don't impress maybe they will lose an opportunity so it is important for them to give 100 per cent in every game."

We cant rely on free kicks to win us the premiership, if we are going to challenge for the title we need to be able to work the ball into the back of the net rather than hoping on free kicks.

Yeah but, I think everyone cna agree that both Eto'o and Ronaldinho can both score and create a tonne of goals.

Obviously that's when Ronaldinho is/was on form and was top 3 in the world.

I believe our problems is the zone defending on set-pieces.

It scares me everytime the other team has them because of it.

First thing I noticed about Cavilieri was his number.

13!

Havn't had a number 13 for a season or two

And the whole Ronaldinho, Eto'o thing.. I mean come on lads, would you complain if we signed them?

I would complain, I hate Barcelona, not quite as much as Manure but I also hate Ronaldinho too, Eto'o is a very good striker I suppose but I would still prefer to have Keane.

What has everyone got against Ronaldinho

He's still magnificant. Scores some wonder goals, infact I believe he got goal of the season in La Liga!
