i just said torres, carragher, gerrard and agger cause they are clearly the best at the position where as people like benayoun and penant are both good so i can sort of see why he rotates them but the main 3 or 4 players shouldn't be rotated (reina is an exception he should play every game anyways)

I can see where he's coming from. Benayoun and pennant rotate because they play the same position, same with Mash and Alonso or gerrard (or one of the CB's), and finnan roates with arbeloa.

I think Riise should be givin more starts in LB than LM. I think if any defender in our team is capable of filling that role its Aurelio, he has a deadly cross.

crouch scored the winner as england beat austria 1-0
does this win rafa over and give him a spot next to torres to start against newcastle?

He should start, but Rafa may play his 'goldenboy' Kuyt, as Torred works well with him..

Rafa underestimates crouch, he can be a real match winner for liverpool and england.

we are creating plenty of oppourtunities except sometimes we are not finishing. I dont think there is a right combination that rafa can choose so rotation is the only way to give everyone a chance really.

At the moment, there is nothing wrong with the team. The reason we have been underperforming is that we have missed key players. Agger was out, then Alonso, then Torres, then Alonso again. We lost the spine of the team.

Personally, I think Crouch can be a key player for us, but he squanders too many chance, like Kuyt. IMO I think Rafa should keep his rotation policy, but have Torres starting with either Crouch or Voronin, with maybe Kuyt as a substitute..

Rafa's hinted that he isn't happy at liverpool, after holding a bizzare press conference, in which he refused to answer questions about the game on saturday. Tom Hicks has hinted that Rafa is unhappy that the club isn't giving him more money to use on the january transfer window. He's also expressed his interested in taking over England

Capello anyone?

Why wouldnt Capello come to Liverpool

he'd have everything he'd need here. Money, players, rich bosses, lots of spanish players.

It'd be real madrid all over again

Ok the team is confirmed

--------Torres-------------Kuyt--------

---Kewell---Leiva-------Sissoko---Gerrard---

---Finnan---Carragher---Hyypia---Arbeola---

-------------------Reina-------------------

Interesting starting Sissoko and Leiva in the middle, its a big role for the young lads. I think leiva will have a good game though, and should do well with kewell to his left. I'm feeling optimistic, maybe a 2 or 3-0 win to us. Torres with 1 or 2, and Kewell with 1

Amazing goal.
Free kick 30 yards out. Lucas (I think) rolls the ball to Gerrard, and you know the rest. d:

Harry Kewell played well. I'd rather have seen Babel up front instead of Kuyt.

Kuyt needs his chances, otherwise he'd be a waste, and he'd lose confidence. He's good on his day. He'll most likely come off for riise and babel will go upfront
