It shouldn't do though, as it is illegal by EU law..

Nice to see some English players... What about Wright-Phillips instead of Milner? I would say he's better..

Also linked with this guy..

Quote:
Monaco boss Ricardo has identified Brazilian defender Thiago Silva as one of his top transfer targets for the summer.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the highly-rated 23-year-old, who currently plies his trade with Fluminense in his homeland.

Milan, Villarreal and Bayer Leverkusen are also reportedly interested in Silva, along with his former club Porto.

However, Ricardo is determined to bring in Silva as he believes he would considerably strengthen Monaco's backline.

"He is a huge player, an ace," Ricardo, who played for Fluminense for six years, told L'Equipe.

"If we can attract him at Monaco, we will be good in defence. I will do my best to have him."

They may do... If he wants to leave, they may have no choice...

They won't be a stubborn as old whiskey nose last year with the Heinze situation..

So Alonso on top of his form is worse then Barry on top form?

Benayoun is good, and was never against him being coming into the club.

IMO Benayoun is average we need a world class winger and i've always rated Pennant above Yossi . pennant is unerrated and i dont understand why he hasnt been much in rafas plans

When Pennant played halfway through the season. He went on a streak of great performances. Then he was benched and never regained that. He is underrated though.
Benayoun isnt a winger. Hes a player who sits behind the striker though in a position closer to the midfield.

I dont think i have ever seen Benayoun actually cross a ball into the box on the wing. He always cuts in plays through the centre. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is just hopeless. We need an actual winger.

Looks like Dossena is all but wrapped up..

Quote:
Andrea Dossena is delighted to become the first Italian international to play for Liverpool

The Udinese left-back will complete his move to Anfield in the coming days after undergoing a medical on Merseyside earlier this week.

Speaking exclusively to skysports.com, Dossena's agent Federico Pastorello revealed his client's delight at signing for Liverpool.

"I understand he is the first Italian international to play for Liverpool - a great opportunity for him and he is really happy," Pastorello revealed.

Dossena is expected to finalise his transfer in the next 48 hours before being unveiled by The Reds next week in a deal believed to be worth around £7million.

"He had his medical on Wednesday and we are just awaiting the formalities of that but we would think everything will be signed very shortly," he continued.

"An agreement between the clubs was hard, but we all found it and everything is now ready."

The 26-year-old had a tremendous campaign with Udinese, which included his debut for Italy, and Pastorello admits Liverpool beat a number of clubs to seal his signature.

"There were many teams interested in him," he confirmed.

"He was the best left-back in Italy last year, arguably along with the boy [Juan]Vargas at Catania.

"So it was natural that there will be interest in the best left-back in Serie A, but to have the chance to work with a coach like Rafa Benitez was something he could not turn down.
"That was an important aspect of his decision and he cannot wait to get started."

I'd buy Bendtner. He wasnt happy at Arsenal and he was still getting some goals. Imagine facing a striker partnership of Crouch and Bendtner hahaha
