Yeah, better team than past years.
![]() But I was a bit dissapointed about last week's game. (1-1) Good thing Saviola came in. Didn't see much from Robben, only good thing was his first time getting the ball and getting past two defenders. ![]() Just hope he can play longer.

When Robben came on, his first move was a 40 yard run past 2 defenders... after that he barely saw any of the ball cause Real couldn't keep it (Guti was terrible in the 2nd half, was he injured?) but he was involved in the build upto the goal.
I'm confident he'll be a success at Real, he's a match winner, can win games single handedly, Real have to remember not to hit long balls in his direction though. They'll be real contenders for the Champions League this season if Robben can stay fit too. |

Im not a fan of Guti and i think its time he moved on, Wesley coming in was a very good move and i hope to c more from him and Drenthe.
Real have been heavly linked with Drogba to come during the window so him and Ruud would b a nice strike force. How long is Pepe and Metzelder out for ? |

And I agree, it was a stupid move to sell him. Robbens one of the best players in the world, it's just injuries are a serious problem for him, he's the modern day Darren Anderton, but I still class him in the same boat as Cristiano Ronaldo an Lionel Messi. I think after the contract talks broke down (We never offered him the same amount as say JT an Lamps were asking for due to his injury problems) I guess he just wanted to leave, an Madrid put in a good enough offer. And i'm happy for the fella cause I still regard him as a quality player an a player who never gave us the grief William Gallas did towards the end of his career, I want to see him succeed in La Liga an get his career going again like he did with us 3 years ago. |

The frasing of some posts could be considered unkind. I prefer answers like that from ForeverBlue'86 over ChelseablueDCU26's reaction. Even though strong wording (please neither swear nor try to evade the swear filter) may lead to strong reactions, that reaction was over the top. So if people could return to topic....

I'm sorry.
Maybe If Reds was able to avoid making the same erroneous points every day: Chelsea and Only Chelsea spend money on players. Manchester United get screwed over in every match. Every decision got against United is wrong. Chelsea steal all our players. Ive already replied to this statement 80 times, which is my reason for the curt answer instead of repeating myself as always.

Yes clearly Blues admitted this. How could I have missed this admission? Where did I get lost? FYI, all players have more than one suitor before being transferred. It is common for two teams to have interest. This is not FIFA, it is world football.

yeah but the only reason those players went to chelsea was bcause of the big money.
well Obi certainly went for the big money robben aswell as at the time UTD were winning leagues and was alot better attraction then chelsea so the only reason they went to chelsea was for the money simple really Essien was more Lyons fault as they wanted too much money |

No.
Robben transfered in summer 2004. Chelsea finished in 2nd, Champions League semifinalists. United were ****. Plain and simple. Where again did Blues admit we stole him?

How is that admtting he stole it?
The previous sentence was "We never stole him," Way to leave out 4 words which change the meaning completely. And as I just proved, Chelsea had a much more succesful year than United prior to Robben's arrival. So how exactly does that make Manchester a bigger club at the time?
