Sorry but getting beat by Rubin Kazan at home, drawing them away, drawing Osasuna, etc does not = the team to beat. This Barca team is beatable. There are cracks in the armour unlike last year. IMO the teams to beat (were talking CL right?) are Chelsea and Arsenal ATM.

Btw, Ron out another month, at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's suddenly makes a remarkable recovery right after Portugal's playoff.

Here's how I see Real Madrid's champions-league run going.

1. They will make it through to the next round with the skin of their teeth.

2. Then suddenly it seems Raul, Kaka and Benzema realise that they can play together and Real Madrid do well in the league, but hit a few snags on the way.

3.Ronaldo comes back fully fit and all of a sudden Real Madrid are in the Final at the Bernabeau (which I think will be against Chelsea)

Their defense needs to realize that they can play together before anything. They lost 3-2 to an off form Milan, no telling what teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United, Inter, or even Lyon will do to their back four in the knockout stages.

i liked watching Zenit when Arshavin played there, but never really got to see them or the rest of the league for that matter, but they are really surprising teams

We had Marcelo as left back against Milan in the 1st game, Arbeloa is alot better defending.

You said about Chelsea (2-2 against A.Madrid), Man Utd (not in great form) and Inter (may not go through) being a problem for us but maybe we will cause them problems

And we were on form? We lost 2-1, 3-2 and played a 0-0 back then go try to beat Rubin first.

I forgot to post these from over the summer. But you should be able to follow this link to all the pictures on Facebook.

From the RM practice and press conference in DC.

With all fairness at least mamba gave Rubin some credit. Most people were blaming it on frozen tundras, igloos, polar bears, ice sheets, sub zero character from mortal kombat, you name it. But they conveniently don't address the loss at home where no ice or poker bears were present ...but maybe sub zero was in the stands, who knows!

Big difference between us and Barelona is that we are trying to find ourselves and are a work in progress while Barelona is the finished project. If you ask me, I don't think barelona people could be too confident...especially with the D. Of I remember correctly, that goal by osasuna to draw came off of Marquez being left in the dust and an incompetent Pique attempt. Then there's the 2 Rubin goals, which in all fairness, should not have beaten barelona at camp nou, no matter how in form they are.

Marcelo is a quite good left-winger, when will Real Madrid realize that he will not be another Roberto Carlos. Also when will they realize that they don't need a wing-back, they need a more solid defense. With Ramos also on full-on attack, its better for them to have Arbeola at left-back.

Cool, I got a RM/Spain flag signed by Kaka and Casillas during the training session held that day. A co member of our pena got it for me since I couldn't make the trip.

Barca's issue is that you can't better perfection. They shall not win the CL this year IMO. It will be really hard to keep the desire, because they won it all last year. Chelsea for the CL.

Pellegrini realized it that's why he was lm against Milan. He's so dangerous there and that's his comfort zone. Hopefully he can play there more often.

I agree. There's nowhere to climb for barca although winning any title should be more than enough motivation. I strongly agree about Chelsea, even if they drew atletico. I also think that if, a big if, arsenal continue improving, they will steamroller past many teams and just maybe get to the final.
