Like you wouldn't go to Chelsea for the money. If Manchester offers you $10 p/w and Chelsea $10k p/w...I m sure you would reject Chelsea because you love so much Manchester...you would give a life for the club

eh btw do we have a new rule, if Manchester is interested in someone others can't be otherwise it is a steal?

^^ but AT THE TIME chelsea were NOTHING

now i wont be as shocked to see players choose chelsea but in 2004 if u were given a choice between UTD and chelsea(same money) then every player would choose UTD.(unless they were like a chelsea fan )

But my point is that THAT'S NOT TRUE.

Listen.

Chelsea finished in 2nd place, and were Champions League semifinalists.

United were FA Cup CHampions.

Which club look better, on the up and up, destined for success? Especially with a respected manager, and open wing positions, whereas United already had Giggs and Ronaldo at that time.

You can't choose United because they are 'United'. Chelsea were simply slated for a brighter future.

hey today football is all about money, you see all takeovers in premiership? Of course some players went to Chelsea because of money but that is part of football today. Who offers more is the lucky winner.

You can't blame Chelsea, everyone does it who has the opportunity like Real , Barca and shieet other clubs...

and u cant tell who will have a brighter future, i mean SAF with UTD were never gonna have a poor future so i doubt that came into it.

but those two achievements were more meaningful than an FA Cup.

And yes, perhaps there future was brighter because of money, but that is not even close to saying Robben signed directly for money. Perhaps Robben signed for success which was partly made possible with money, but its not like he went to Norwich who wanted to put him on 130,000 pounds

What's making me kinda frustrated with Real is the fact that we have 2 players sitting on the bench who could easily start, I mean yeah were winning but I think Robben and Robhino need to start. Who else agrees with me on this? I mean I think Robben or Robhino could easily get Guti out of there.

Let's not go into money talk... plenty of stuff Utd fans like you don't know about your own clubs spending policy...

And Ferguson did ar$e around over Robbens transfer, so eventually we stepped in, Robben an his interfering father were interested in what Ranieri had to say about the clubs future an he eventually came to us.

So was Ranieri right? (Whilst not being in charge)... he took us to 2nd place an was only beaten by an Arsenal team that finished the season unbeaten in the Premiership... plus CL Semi-Finalists which we can blame Clownio for going out .

We signed him for the season Jose took over an won the Premiership... Utd finished 3rd, 18 points behind us... Ranners was right about something.

And lets just say money was the issue here... he is neither a Chelsea nor Utd fan, an Utd didn't offer him a good enough deal, whereas we did. End of, it happens in life red, so next time you have a decision between 2 jobs, I expect you to be taking the one with less money involved ok?

Each to their own fella, but Robben had a choice between 2 football teams, an he chose us, end of story. And you can complain all you like about how you believe Utd play god like football compared to us, at the time though, we were the ones who were knocking it around better than anyone (Bar maybe Arsenal) in the Premiership.. not Utd.

just saw a replay of the barcelona vs athletico madrid....

if everyone stays fit..do you think any club in the world could beat barcelona ath this moment......

IMO if all of their players stay fit i cant see any team giving them a fight except maybe arsenal....

They're alot better than Arsenal lol. Arsenal are very impressive to watch, Barcelona are absoloute quality to see though, this was the exact same about 3 years ago too.

I still reckon we could do them if our team was fully fit. We know the way to stop them playing, last season we had full control of the game at Stamford Bridge an got the draw away from home (2 quality strikes). Guess they have improved, but again, 3 years ago when they were playing the best football around Europe, we were missing some key players an beat them over 2 legs, most notibly Robben at the time.

Meh, just my opinion.

And?

Only 5 teams have won at Mestalla this century and we've won there twice... an only once with Jose. Bet you never thought in a million years we'd do it again with Avram Grant in charge?

Just my 2 cents though, the widespread thought is we'd get slaughtered by them, fair enough, I think otherwise though.
