Right sided winger? Silva please.

I like Higuain/Huntelaar but it's unproven in CL, Gonzalo hasnt scored in CL and Huntelaar wasnt registered, Benzema would be nice...
Id love Clichy at Real but i dont think we will get him.

Kaka, Ronaldo or Diego will most likely be the main targets from the AM role.

I agree that Silva for the winger.

Id prefer Xabi Alonso over Cesc at the moment and for a striker then either Benzema or David Villa

Hey! Guess who might be running for president in the spring/summer:

both AS and MARCA reporting.

Don't know who Calderon is? Lemme refresh your memory:

- Embezzled the club for some serious cash
- Failed to deliver 2/3 of his very publicized election promises.
- Was involved in election fraud.
- Systematically destroyed the image of Real Madrid
- Managed to get AC Milan and Chelsea to report Real Madrid to FIFA.
- Started a war with Manchester United.
- Was forced to resign 3 months ago after it was discovered that he rigged the AGA by bringing in non-socios to approve his budget and despite claiming he does not know who they are, they were seen together on a yacht and clubs together.

What an *******.

Perez gains Real Madrid commitment from Benzema

27.03.09 | tribalfootball.com
Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez has an agreement with Lyon star Karim Benzema, it has been revealed.
Perez has struck a deal with Benzema's agent, Karim Djaziri, says defensacentral.com, over a five-year contract. The agreement was reached during a meeting in Geneva, where Perez also caught up with AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Now the former Real president will make contact with Lyon supremo Jean-Michel Aulas to thrash out a fee for Benzema. Perez knows Aulas is a notoriously difficult negotiator and will be relying on Benzema to help smooth talks.

Just a few weeks ago Benzema reportedly said he will stay with Lyon for one more year.

More Rumors:

Liga BBVA | Real Madrid : Florentino también tiene a Maicon en su lista - AS.com

Maicon is also on the list of Florentino
Despite his high performance, Inter could accept his transfer with a good deal by having discovered a fullback of 18 years, Santon, who is clever and that Mourinho has had to move to the left in the presence of Maicon . Economically, the Italian club also has its problems after years of big signings.

Liga BBVA | Real Madrid : Cesc entra en la baraja ante la inminente renovación de Gerrard - AS.com

Cesc enters the picture as Gerrard's contract renewal becomes imminent

Cesc and Xabi Alonso would become, then, the two major objectives for the area.

I can see MAicon cause Santon has a good future with Inter. Anyone else linked with us is possible considering Florentino will be behind it. Anyone.

Calderon practices lalalalalalabaggery. I think its just a rumor. Does he really have the guts, lack of shame to run again??? Not in a million years would he win. They should strip him of his membership and give it to denapro!

Florentino wants to Spanishfy (I made up the word) Real Madrid. It'd be sweet if we could get Cesc, Xabi, Villa, Silva eh?

La Asamblea ratifica a Boluda y modifica el voto por correo - MARCA.com

So...

- Boluda was ratified as President and has set the date of the Elections (June 14th or the week prior)
- The voting process has been modernized so candidates can't use loopholes to alter/win elections

It seems almost inevitable that Florinto will win, but now we know that he will fight for it, and that it will (hopefully) be clean...Unless the changes "scare him off".

Sevilla President: Real Madrid Would Have To Pay €3m For Monchi

Sevilla chief, del Nido has slapped a substantial price tag on his sporting director, but he doesn’t believe that Madrid’s presidential candidate, Perez, has already made a move for him.

Rumours emerged a few weeks ago that Real Madrid’s presidential hopeful, Florentino Perez, is eager to add Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, to his star-studded boardroom should he win the elections in June.

But the Andaluz outfit’s charismatic chairman, Jose Maria del Nido is confident that his under-rated transfer guru will not be looking to leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for Madrid, or any other club.

“I do not believe the stories saying Monchi will end up at Real Madrid next season,” del Nido said in an interview with El Correo de Andalucia [The Andalucian Mail].

“I have an excellent relationship with Florentino and rarely do we go for even two weeks without speaking on the phone. And I doubt that he has made an approach of this sort without consulting me first.

“Besides, if anyone wants Monchi, they would have to buy out his clause, which I think is €3 million. But he would also have to want to leave and I doubt very much that he wants to abandon this project where he has been one of the chief architects all along,” he added confidently.

Del Nido then went on to assess the situation of his own club in the current Primera Division campaign, especially the subject the team coach, Manolo Jimenez.

“The future of our trainer will be discussed at the end of the season,” he affirmed. “There are fans who support him and there are those who criticise his work, but that is football.

“I do not act based on the opinions of one, two, ten or five thousand fans. Ofcourse, I respect their views, but when we make decisions, we have to make a balanced assessment based on what we value most.

“I am happy with Manolo’s work. I know his daily routine, his capacity, and his efforts. I have also seen the work of Juande Ramos and Joaquin Caparros and I can say that Jimenez is at the same level as any coach who has seen or knows about Spanish football,” he emphasised.

Finally, when asked what the team’s priority is for the remainder of the campaign, del Nido expectedly replied, “We are not counting our chickens, but we are in a good position to qualify for the Champions League.

“Economically, it would be a disaster if we don’t make it. But in the league, it makes no difference if we finish second or third,” he concluded.

Sevilla are indeed currently third in La Liga, nine points behind Los Blancos in second, but a healthy 11 points clear of fifth place Atletico Madrid, with ten rounds left to play.

Didn't Calderon say he'll fun just to spoil the party even though he knows he won't win.

Anxiously waiting for De La Reds return. Hope all is sorted. He is a class player imo and has a good future with us. Has a devastating shot as well.

http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/en/..._2009-04-02.htm

"Real Madrid denies the report published on page 14 of AS newspaper in its 2 April 2009 edition claiming that "Real Madrid has made an offer for Maicon," as well as the statement made by the player's representative, Antonio Caliendo, who claims "Madrid has sent a fax to Inter." Neither President Vicente Boluda nor his Board of Directors wishes to initiate or maintain talks regarding the possible hiring of players during the duration of their term."

****! Oh well, still a possibility.

Robben Reveals He Came Off Against Macedonia To Be Fresh For Real Madrid
The Dutchman is keen to play a part for Real Madrid...

Arjen Robben has underlined his commitment to Real Madrid by coming off against Macedonia to save himself for the game with Malaga this weekend.

The winger was playing for his national team Holland when he felt a slight injury and he decided to come off to ensure it did not get worse.

"I felt a slight niggle and I did not think twice about it; I asked to be subbed. I did not want to run even the smallest risk with a view to the important game that is coming up against Malaga," he explained.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have Malaga next, who Barca destroyed a few weeks ago, I hear Marcelo got injured yesterday, so he wont play.

HOW much money does Real Madrid have? How many of these signings are actually realistic?

Well if Florinto Perez comes in, who is a notable big spender and is expected to win the presidency, than you can certainly expect some big signings to be made, most of them will probably be off the money made from selling players like Heinze, van de Vaart, M. Diarra or Gago etc. and some will just come straight from our pockets, iirc the club made a turnover of about 300 million in 2008.

So I'd say some are realistic, the rumors themselves may not be.

Arjen Robben is out, Lass is doubtful, Marcelo is injured and Heinze is suspended for the game agaisnt Malaga. Fernando Gago missed training and may not play because of flight problems from South America.

Holy ****.

From Sid Lowe:

Cristiano Ronaldo ready to leave for Real Madrid in £75m transfer

Cristiano Ronaldo ready join Real Madrid in £75m transfer | Football | The Guardian

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/ap...fer-real-madrid

Real Madrid have put in place a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo's advisers that will see him leave Manchester United this summer if the world footballer of the year gets his way. Ronaldo remains determined to move to the Bernabéu and it is understood his salary and contractual terms have already been determined as part of a planned world-record £75m transfer.
Not too sure about this one, interesting read though... let's see if it ends up true.

I wouldn't know, If he did I missed that news.

The Guardian is really banking on this being true, not sure how reliable they are but they've published 4-5 articles on the move already.

Newest one is here
