Common man.
I don't know, but my gut feeling tells me they need a season or two to work as a team. You can't put '11' new players in a team, and except them to play like they're the current champions. It doesn't work like that.

However, they will definitely be top 4 in La Liga, but I doubt they'll get past the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Your new coach might have taken Villarreal to the semi finals in champions league, but now he's gotta deal with 'Los Galacticos'. Can he handle it?

If you say 'yes' without seeing how it goes the first few weeks, then you might as well say "I could win all the trophies there's to win, because I'd have Kaka, Ronaldo etc etc..And I wouldn't need the experience".

You could say the same about Manchester United. With Ronaldo gone will they be able to cope without such a force on the team.. I'm not saying "they're not winning anything next season without Ronaldo", but surely Valencia isn't going to be as good as you guys say he is in the first season..

We'll have to wait and see what happens, eh?

Ugh, you guys...

Albiol will be presented in a few hours, defensacentral reports Xabi to Madrid for 3X ME like everyone else is, and Gago to Juventus, I hope not.

Very fair post. Calderon was a disaster in many areas. Only good thing he did was sign the precontract for Roanaldo in the midseason.

About Benzema, I am happy we got him over Villa for the simple fact that he is 6 years younger. A true signing for the future. Ive always said we need young players and he fits the bill perfectly imo. He's nowhere near his prime unlike Villa.

I think he's saying that Perez is the one going around making the transfers and Pellegrini isn't getting a say (although I'm sure he wouldn't mind these players ).

Not the first couple of season as Galacticos

We won La Liga in 2000–01 and 2002–03 and claimed the UEFA Champions League in 2001–02! Not to mention the huge economic success we achieved during this period. A couple of mistakes prevented us from dominating longer.
Shows that the foundation of the sporting and marketing model was indeed very very adequate.

PS - pellegrini is no pushover.

And that's the point.

The one on the right is hilarious.

Black (top) = Two long names
Left = Kaka's name
Right = The one who did not sign Kaka (Calderon)

Dena, good stuff! Albiol presentation in a few eh?

BTW, it's reported that 80,000+ Kaka shirts have been sold already and that one was being sold every 10 seconds at the stadium store. This is what I was trying to explain to people about marketing, image rights, etc. They don't understand. They think we just wanna give up 60, 70mil, etc. just to see them kick a ball. Boggles.

Hope many people come, but he's no Kaka.

Kaka presentation was amazing, people nearly jumped on him.

I was just kidding with the dude

If you're referring to Benzema, I want you to know that I was against him moving to United. Just read the last few pages in the United thread.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you Real". Ah, that made Kyro so mad - Again, I didn't mean that. They still "steal" players
