Indeed, although if Sheva leaves, which he hopefully does, it is imperative that we hang onto Di Santo.

Other than that i am comfortable with the squad, this will in my mind be Ballack's last year with us so when he departs i think we will invest in a proven young midfielder, but there is no rush to do it as we still have enough midfielders currently.

New Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti will not allow striker Didier Drogba to leave, saying he is a key part of his plans.
The Ivory Coast striker has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and reunion with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
However, Ancelotti insisted: "Now I have Drogba in my team and he will be staying."
He told Italian Radio Deejay: "I will not sell him to Mourinho."

Let's hope Carlo uses him regularly as the primary back up to Alex, if Carvalho is departing that is.

Hopefully John Obi Mikel continues to flourish, easily one of our top 5 performers last season.

If Ricardo does leave then Michael will take another step up the ladder, the club need to hold onto him and there are a couple of clubs out there trying too sign him.

Brendan Rodgers has plenty of links here which worries me, i wouldn't mind him securing him on a loan but i really view Mancienne as one of the best players we have produced since the likes of JT came up through the youth ranks.

Another good point, two more English players into the mix.

I couldn't care less about the weather mate, i'm against any international football tournaments that disrupt our players during the season.

Apparently, Ashley has rejected a new offer from us which made Madrid interested. Add the new City bid for Terry and it gets a tad spooky.

We should be alright with the new signings we have made (and hopefully Zhirkov soon) just as long as noone who is vital for us leaves without us having a replacement in sight BEFORE we let such players leave.

Hopefully it's just paper talk

The club and John himself are very firm on the matter, so i have no qualm's with Citeh's fruitless attempts to sign him.

Ashley Cole will likely be holding out for more money, it's clear that he is that type of player considering the circumstances in which he moved to us from Arsenal and i suspect he will hold out until his contract get's a significant boost in terms of wages.

Nevertheless we can't loose him, simple as that, easily one of, arguably the, best left backs in the league and irreplaceable.

We won't sign Terry 99.99%, Sturridge is a greedy lalalala.

Default Question John Terry must answer

Question John Terry must answer

WHAT will John Terry be doing on September 15? Will he be stirring himself, ready to lead Chelsea into the first chapter of their Champions League quest?

Or will he be wondering what delights lie ahead of him and his new Manchester City team-mates in the following week's Carling Cup encounter?

That's what Terry will have to consider when he weighs up the prospect of a move from his "beloved" Chelsea to the filthy-rich wannabes at Eastlands.

In a World Cup season, does the England skipper want to face up to the challenge of midweek encounters with the likes of Kaka, Ronaldo and Messi?

Ambition

Or uproot yourself, spend long evenings checking a bank balance which multiplies at the rate of roughly £250,000 a week, pondering whether City will be good enough to beat Brighton or Nottingham Forest - their cup conquerors last season - and contemplating life without the challenge of ANY European football? He might also ask himself what part ambition and loyalty play in a career?

It's an entirely legitimate question, one the Chelsea hierarchy and fans will be asking.

CAPTAIN TERRY OF ENGLAND - So what's the best preparation for a World Cup, John?

Terry would normally have plenty to say if anyone dared call him a quitter, ever doubted his commitment to the cause. But all of a sudden there's nothing from "Mr Chelsea" but a deafening silence.

Which is mighty odd considering the hottest talk in town is of him quitting his "beloved" Chelsea and defecting to City in what would be the domestic transfer coup of the century.

Holiday

He and his advisers like to portray him as the very embodiment of Chelsea Football Club, as important to the fabric of Stamford Bridge as Roman Abramovich's billions.

Which makes it all the more surprising there's been no whisper of a denial, even when so many reports are suggesting City have received "encouragement" from Terry for their audacious bid. Terry is away on a well-deserved holiday but is that really any excuse for allowing this huge story to rumble on?

Especially when, by doing so, he is effectively undermining the arrival and unveiling of new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti?

Or is that just exactly what Terry wants?

Technology

Is he trying to prove there's nobody more important down at the Bridge - that managers may come and go but JT is always the main man?

Think that's being harsh? Not really. Modern technology means the Chelsea captain could easily have pinged a strongly-worded denial back to Stamford Bridge without having to step off the beach or the golf course.
And that would have killed this story stone dead and exposed it as nonsense.

This is JT remember - his blood is Chelsea blue, the club has formed part of his DNA since he took his first tentative steps on to the training ground as a teenager. How do we know this? Because he's told us so many times. And Chelsea have been just as quick to confirm it.

Hero

The recently-departed Guus Hiddink summed it up perfectly when he said: "John has made a very clear statement that he is a Chelsea man and wants to stay a Chelsea man and the club made it very clear they want him to stay forever."

If you needed any more convincing then Terry's profile on the club website says: "Chelsea to the core and a true hero to the fans, John is the most successful captain in Chelsea history."

He's been there since he was 14 and won every domestic trophy, most notably back-to-back league titles in 2005 and '06.

Reputation

He's played in the Champions League final and reached the semis five times in six seasons.

And he's going to swap all that for a City team who aren't even good enough to make the new Europa League this season? And risk his reputation as the best in the business in a World Cup season.

Whatever for? There is no other answer but MONEY.

Yes, everybody linked with City babbles on incessantly about the lure of the "project" and of being in on the ground floor of a stunning new era.

Nobody believes it. Nobody would believe it if Terry was to leave Chelsea for City. Which is why he needs to come clean - and quick.

Devotion

If Terry is sincere in his devotion to Chelsea, then all Abramovich or Ancelotti need do is sit him down and demand to know if there is a price on his loyalty. Should that be the case, then let him take the cash and dash north in the realisation there will be the severest reaction from the Bridge faithful.

Chelsea fans have believed every word he's told them about his love affair with their club.

They drape a flag over the Matthew Harding Stand at every game that simply says "JT - Legend".

That would go up in smoke as quickly as Terry's reputation - and the banners would read something very different should he ever dare show his face in SW6 in that other blue shirt, the one of Manchester City.

Question John Terry must answer | Sport|Football | News Of The World
Quote:
John needs to put this talk to bed, however his absense from a scheduled testemonial yesterday and the deafining silence from his camp worries me a great deal.

Sentiment has disappeared from football, and if John wants to uphold his image and reputation he needs to issue a statement as quickly as possible, if not, we can only wonder about whats going on behind the scenes.

If he leaves, he will be despised in SW6 for the rest of his life, surely he understands the consequences of moving on.

Don't see the need to question the man and his loyalty to the club, because the man is devoted to Chelsea and obviously takes pride in wearing the captain-armband week in and week out for the team he loves.
