There is a greater likelihood that Walcott would be the "Trequartista" even if Villa was bought into the team. He is a good player, but I can think of many other players that would be better signings than David Villa.

Samir Nasri isn't too expensive, if we wanted to buy him he could be purchased, but the main road block is Arsene Wenger. I don't think Nasri would be played in the inside if we bought him, I can see him playing more wide because if you look at Wenger's 12 year history he always plays more defensive minded middle men and Nasri is lacking in the areas of defense.

I think we could get Fabian Ernst, or Jeremy Toulalan for CM help, and Lucio would be an easy acquisition for CB to partner Toure. I still think Pedersen would be the ideal acquisition for us, but I doubt Wenger would pay £12M to get him.

David Villa is a great player. Probably in my top 5 favourite strikers playing right now. I've watched him play for Valencia and Spain and I've always rated him higher than Torres. Villa is an outstanding player because he interacts well with the 'passing-alot' style game. He's got a beautiful first touch and can finish a tad greater than any striker in Arsenal. Villa would be a dream signing for me, and he also claimed he would love to join Arsenal's fluent pass-and-pass play because he feels that suits him best.

I dont think Toulalan will leave France because he's happy there. He's playing for a top club which plays in champions league and he says he doesnt want to leave so I kinda doubt he would leave Lyon. Though he was a great player in Nantes and I've always seen him as a great holding midfielder since he started playing for France.

I agree he is a good player, however I don't see how you can make the comment he can finish 'a tad greater' than any ST at Arsenal. The last three seasons have seen his goal total decrease and this season he (Villa) didn't score more goals than Adebayor so that would imply that Adebayor is a better finisher. Villa has never even played in England so you can't say he has a better scoring acumen since at this point it would be speculation. You will have to explain how Villa's 12 goals versus Adebayor's 21 goals means he is a better finisher than any ST at Arsenal. Had Adebayor not fluffed a handful of chances he would have around 30-32 league goals.

Jeremy Toulalan might not leave this summer but he will leave France sooner than expected. Lyon win Lique 1 year after year and it gets to a point that it becomes boring and top players want to challenge themselves. I have never seen him say he would never leave Lyon and I think if the right offer was made for him, Lyon would sell him.

Rio Mavuba would be a good alternative to Toulalan

a player that i would love to see at Arsenal is Ibrahim Afellay he could easily replace Eboue on RM and if Hleb leaves he would be ideal

People forget that it wasn't until Eboue joined Arsenal that he was employed as a fulltime RB. He is a decent RM but he is more suited to a RCM role since he is more physical than finesse.

Mavuba would be a decent alternative, but I also think Hedwiges Maduro or Fabian Ernst would be good also and possibly cheaper.

Adebayor is an improving striker, and he can brag about his stats this season. But im sure if we had Villa instead of Adebayor infront of goal, he would have slotted in more goals than Adebayor because some of the chances Adebayor had, cost us games, and vital games. I do admit he has scored some great goals, but the majority of his goals are in his level of expectation, and i believe villa has a much higher level of expectation since hes a better striker. Btw i dont think you should compare Villa's season to Adebayor. They play in different leagues ( It is harder to score in La Liga ) and Villa isint having his best seasons. Im not trying to make excuses or whatever, im just trying to state that I would rather have Villa infront instead of Adebayor any day.

Since when?

I see more blowout games in La Liga than I do in any of the 2 point leagues.

The team looked good today, I just got some hi-lights sent to me and they were nice. Wish I could have seen the entire game, but 9 minutes worth of replays will have to do.

Cesc, Walcott, and Ade are going to have great seasons in 2008/2009.

Arsenal are in talks with Australia U23 captain Mark Milligan.

FoxSports Australia says Milligan, a free agent after three years at Sydney FC, has spent recent weeks training at several Premiership clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Fulham.

Milligan's management has confirmed they're in talks with the Gunners about a move to Emirates stadium for the defensive utility.

Milligan, who played a season under Terry Butcher at Sydney, enjoys a big reputation in Europe after his superb campaign at right-back in the 2005 U20 World Championships in Holland.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed 16 year old wonder kid Jack Wilshere will be a part of his first team next season, and will also feature during the Carling Cup. Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Wenger also confirmed Mark Randall, Henri Lansbury and Kieran Gibbs would also be promoted. However he held special praise for Wilshere.

"The next generation is (Henri) Lansbury, (Kieran) Gibbs, (Mark) Randall, Jack Wilshere. I dont think he (Wilshere) will stay a long time in the Reserves."
Wenger watched on two weeks ago as Jack Wilshere scored a goal, and made a goal.

Wilshere will not be involved in the remaining Premiership fixtures, after he flew out to Italy on Wednesday to take part in the Atalanta Cup.

Edit; He's No. 10 if you didn't know

Screw all the youth, we need experience and proven talent. We need to see about getting Henry and Abidal from Barca since it all but guaranteed that they will be sold regardless of if they want to stay.

Why sign Onree back? They've performed better without him, Van Rapist needs to get over his injuries and Adebayor looks like a one man attack at times.

IMO, You need good backup - not better players for the first team, cause they've suffered fatigue more than lapse in concentration.

Since when does Van Rapist sound like Van Perise?

Also bringing back Henry wouldn;t make a diference. Your better without him. CLichy's been bettet than ABidal this season, and after his game on Tuesday, he shouldn't even play in La Liga..

we dont need Abidal but Clichy hasnt picked up much injures during the last 2 seasons and while Traore would like to be more of a winger hes good at left back too
