I just don't see the want to win in Adebayor anymore. Like I said, he's more concerned with getting paid than how well the team performs. I could be wrong. But, again, like I said before, Adebayor was on the entire match and did very little, while Bendtner and Vela did more in the short time they were on the pitch.

I would hardly call this the worst season under Wenger.

As for reinforcements I would agree with you on Trezeguet for sure and every since you mentioned Edin Dzeko I have been tracking him and he has quality for sure, but I think with his current form he would cost a pretty penny for sure due to his age and Wolfsburg would be a fool not to try to bank on him.

I think Pedersen's form has been bad this season beacuse Blackburn have flat out sucked.

I wanted Ryan Babel when he first wanted to leave Ajax, but for some reason we never tabled the £5M bid which could have gotten him so then Liverpool offers more money and gets him easily.

In all honestly I don't think we need players as much as people are leading on, I think we need more cover than anything, not necessarily more experience because having a young team that has battled like we have the last two seasons, that build experience in bundles.

I think a lot of people are being way to hard on Adebayor. This was a bad season all around for him, but I wouldn't give up on him so quickly. I don't think he is letting the game come to him and in his defense, we are not exactly creating the best chances for him. We had a dream set up with Henry because he was deadly attacking the goal where as Adebayor needs to have someone set him up. The one thing about Adebayor is that if his providers are having a bad game he is going ot look that much worse as has been the case many times this season.

There are times when players are completely ineffective, it happens.

Adebayor hasn't had the best season and his various injuries along with a loss of form also didn't help his cause. I think next season he will come back strong and net 20 league goals.

I thought this article was pretty interesting. I never really looked at Samir in a role like Andrea Pirlo, but he does have all the tools to succeed.

Nasri set for defensive role

If Adebayor has an injury free season next year and doesn't hit 20 goals then I seriously think we should look at offloading him and looking at Mario Gomez and Eden Dzeko if they are still at their respective clubs.

i wouldnt mind either coming in, Mario Gomez is a class striker despite his poor showing at Euro2008, but im sure Wenger said weve got enough strikers even tho i think we need another 1.

He said he would look at making two additions, but he did not say where.

Good news though, Theo is locked up for another 4 years and Van Persie is closing in on a five year deal so that is good for the team.

I have a gut feeling that he will get someone out of Ligue 1 this summer, and I am hoping its Toulalan, or Pele.

My favourite line from the recent post on Arsenal.com concerning the summer transfer window is the last one.

“And if we buy, it certainly won't be players who lack experience. We have enough of those.”

You know its bad when Usmanov speaks the truth about our team when our own manager fails to see the obvious.

Arsenal need to step up deals.

Yeah we really need world-class players on the bench as well as the starting line-up.
And people stop criticising Adebayor. 47 goals in 2 seasons is not worthy of the stick he's getting.

I could see being hard on him if he were healthy all season and only scored a handful of goals, but injured on three different occasions and never really getting a good run to build his form is hardly reason to get at him like people are doing.

Some of the comments he makes are idiotic, such as saying we took a set backward this year despite scoring more points in the league and advancing further in the CL. I think if he just kept his mouth shut and didn't speak to the press he would be fine.

We have significantly less points in the league this year than last. So we did take a step backwards as far as the league is concerned. As for the CL we had easier ties for the quarterfinal and round of 16 this year. We were a much better team last year, there's no escaping that fact.

we got 83 points least year and this season were on 68 big difference, i believe we did take a step backwards as last season weve looked threatening on all fronts whereas this season we never really got going.

Sorry I am thinking about the year before last when we had 68 after 38, my mistake.

I would have to disagree with you on the step backwards because after boxing day we were a joke for the reason of the season. Last year won games on sheer luck at times and the only reason we did as well as we did was because our first half of the season was stellar.

How can you say we never got it going this season? We were one game away from the FA Cup Final, one game away from the Champion's League final. Add our table position to those accomplishments and we had a good season even if we didn't win any trophies.

As long as we can end on a high note after being destroyed by Chelsea today we have some momentum going into next season.

Well good luck qualifying for the champions league, you are going to need it! This year UEFA is seperating the champions and non champions in two different qualifying tournaments. That means if the tables stay the same you will get either Valencia, Fiorentina, Hertha Berlin, Lyon or Celtic.

Not really anything to worry about honestly.

Looks like Usmanov is ready to provide a cash injection if the board ask him.

Knowing Arsene and our board that will never happen, they would rather we keep the same squad and finish 3rd or 4th again next season.

My wish list for new signings is:

Jeremy Toulalan or Mathieu Debuchy
Sebastien Frey
Mario Gomez
