Actually we could afford Benzema rather easily, the stumbling block is that Wenger would never pay Lyon £30M for his services and I don't think he should either seeing as we could get more players to meet our needs rather than one player that costs an exorbant amount that woudl only fill one need.

Arsenal don't need benzema. We've currently got 6 strikers.....imo we need a holding midfielder instead to cover cesc when he goes foward

You give Almunia a 5 and Djourou a 7 despite him scoring an own-goal? That's lalalalalalaed.

What 6 are your refering too? By my count we have 3, Adebayor, Bendtner, and Eduardo.

Van Persie, Walcott, Vela, and Wilshire are not ST.

Rolfes or Toulalan for the midfield and maybe someone like Naldo in CD.

That wouldn't solve all of your problems, but it'd help.

well Wenger hsa left you short hasnt he. Flamini went and instead of replacing him he opted to replace Hleb with Nasri. He's been great but surely the centre is more important than the wide players. Wellthe wide players are important no doubt but you had Walcott who could play there and Denilson isnt good enough.

Right, but using someone as a ST when they aren't a ST is not the same thing.

Using Nasri as a winger doesn't make him a winger.

He didn't leave us short. We have more than enough bodies to cover, but people are having inconsistent performances.

Nasri is infinitely better than Hleb and in once season has surpassed what Hleb couldn't do in 4.

Doesn't matter if we had Walcott, he needed to be bought because as you can see Theo is once again injured.

Arsenal will be alright. We won't be buying anyone this window, but come summer I can see us buying a couple top tier players.

You need a like for like replacement of Viera. Flamini stood in well last season, but you definitely need some help down the spine.

Vieira has been gone for three years so why even bring him into the equation?

Flamini was fine, but we don't need to have a holding midfielder, we really just need another competent CM. Everyone is so focused on us getting a holder, but I would rather have a complete CM rather than just a holder because a b2b CM would actually compliment Cesc better than just a holder would.

Thats why I would like to see Debuchy or Veloso join because bother can do the holding duties, but also join in on attack where as a true holder would be one dimensional. Thats the one thing I liked about Gilberto, he was a proper holder, but he could also push forward also, definitely a box to box CM.

Agree to disagree I suppose, but I think that Toulalan or Simon Rolfes would be intelligent acquisitions.

thats not at all Djourou was brilliant today along with Gallas, he couldnt have avoided that own goal if he left it the Chelsea player would have scored, it was more Almunia's fault for throwing the ball to them, so Djourou's 7 is right. although Adebayor shouldnt have got a 7 he was awful i lost count of the times he was offside.

*** are you talking about? Almunia didn't do anything except make 1 routine save and he was at fault for their first goal therefore he deserves a 5

There was nothing much Djourou could do about his own goal and afterwards he shown great character and resilience to keep chelsea at bay. That is the strongest at the back we have been all season with the Gallas Djourou partnership. therefore he fully deserves a 7

Wenger needs to buy a good CDM or CM to play with Fabregas. He can't afford to wait for Rosicky to come back as he is an injury prone. He needs a good replacement for Flamini and they will be alright

Diaby could fill in next to cesc, he's a good midfielder given a chance.

diaby, like denilson pushes forward too much and fabregas is having to drop, and drop deeper than is necessary for an influential attacking player like cesc making him drop is ruining his attacking threat, hence 1 goal in 23 games, arsenal need some1 like a mikel or essien, even hargreaves, but i dont think there is a player out there with experience that i could see going to arsenal in jan, and 1 is needed in jan, this season will completely go to pot without a experienced DCM.
