Great result today for The Arsenal, hopefully we can carry on this form and grab 3 points from the hammers and 3 points from the spuds. Diaby and Almunia both with great performances today.

You can forget about Yaya joining because Barca have already said they aren't selling him and even though he admitted that Kolo tried to convince him to join he also said he was happy in Spain. We need to go after Xabi Alonso at the end of the season because I still think he would be a good pairing with Cesc.

If Diaby can get over his injury crisis like Gael has done we would be in a great position, but he can't stay healthy to save his life.

Too many people are too hard on Denilson. You have to remember he is only 20 years old and this is the first season he has played more than a miniscule amount of playing time.

Cesc wasn't all that impressive in his first season getting prominent playing time. Cesc did well his first 2 seasons but it wasn't until #3 that he came into his own and Denilson is no different. Give the kid time and he will show his class.

For those that said they would like to see Diaby on the field over Denilson you can relax because Diaby is the first choice over Denilson, but since he can't stay healthy to save his life it won't happen until then.

i wouldnt say very good performance, they let 2 bad goals in. they played very well offensively but any talented team would have scored 4 or 5 as well with all the gifts arsenals defense gave. a top quality EPL team would have tied it up, it wouldn't have been such a dominant performance. Almunia on the other hand played very well except for that caught in no mans land when he came out to defend the lob pass. I hope Arsenal do well for many reasons but also so Almunia can finally get some credit as one of the top gk's in the world

Eduardo ready to return in three weeks

Arsenal may be handed a huge boost in three week's time when Eduardo da Silva could return from injury ahead of schedule. The Croatia international suffered a horrific leg injury following a challenge by Birmingham's Martin Taylor in February which was expected to keep him on the sidelines until Christmas. But boss Arsene Wenger has revelaed he could be back in action by the middle of next month.

Eduardo suffered a fractured left leg and open dislocation of his ankle in the tackle which forced him to miss his adopted country's Euro 2008 campaign after being their top scorer in the qualifiers.

"Eduardo is three weeks away from playing competitive football," Wenger told Arsenal's website.

The news on Tomas Rosicky is not so promising. The Czech international, who has been out of action since the FA Cup victory over Newcastle at the end of January, will not be fit again until the New Year with a hamstring injury now troubling him.

Wenger, meanwhile, feels his young Arsenal side are not "getting the support they deserve'' from their own fans or the media.

He reiterated his view when addressing shareholders at Arsenal's Annual General Meeting this morning.

"You are all very quiet, a little bit like the game on Saturday. It is a recession mood, but it will not last, do not worry,'' Wenger joked as he took the microphone.

"The structure of our team is fantastic, but very young. That means that tomorrow will be better than yesterday. I believe we are at a stage where this season we are close to deliver, and it is my job to do that.

"Last year were very close to winning the championship, finishing just four points behind Manchester United. We were really unlucky at a difficult part of the season. Having led for so long, it was very disappointing.

"But today when you have such a young team, you have to be intelligent. Instead of showing resentment, we have to believe in our team, more than ever because this team will deliver. But the younger you are, the more you need support and the belief in the quality of these young players. I ask you as well to be proud of them and to show your support.

"I am personally very proud, and believe this team needs a strong guide to go through difficult periods, because at the moment I do not feel that either from the media or our supporters that this team gets the support that it deserves.

"That is why I think they need a stronger guide than ever and I want to get this team to deliver not next year, but this year.''

That would be great news, especially for when RVP goes does with an injury.

My hopes are not that high for Eduardo returning. When you have that kind of injury and you are returning almost a month before you were scheduled to return I have to wonder if he is rushing himself back.

I don't think that Wenger would let him rush back if he was not ready. Its obviously going to take a couple of reserve games and probably Carling Cup matches to get back to first team fitness, so I still don't think he will be making any major appearances (EPL or CL) until the end of this year, or possibly next year.

Our best striker is coming back. If he gets back to his old form who should he replace? Ade or Van Persie.

You're kidding. Eduardo is NOT our best striker. He is good at creating goals and has a nice shot but he is not our best striker by any means.

My words exactly and I AM an Arsenal supporter. People have tunnel vision about Eduardo in my opinion. He is a good player, but to even think about benching a 30+ goal scorer and another player that is capable of taking over a game single handedly for a player that lasted 17 games (EPL) had 3 assists and 4 goals.............um no.

Didn't Cisse come back in similar circumstances? not saying y'all should bench RVP or Adebayor.

He did come back but his injury was just a leg break, not a compound fracture where his bone was protruding from his skin.

Also you can look at Cisse and tell he isn't the same player he was, at least I can when I look at him. Cisse is now a straight line runner where as he used to go straight line and other directions when he attacks.

there will be no need to "replace" adebayor or rvp. rvp will get injured as he usually does, and eduardo will be able to play in the lesser important games and cup runs, just like he did last year, and fill in as the theo of last year who will add life to the team later on in games from the bench

No such thing as lesser important games for Arsenal. If he gets time in the Carling or FA Cup that would be fine with me considering his excellent record last season in those competitions, but in the EPL fixtures I can't see Wenger fielding him.

You know what Arsenal needs, a tall defender. I say that we should go for Per Mertesacker and send Gallas off to PSG.

I think Silvestre will do. Mertesacker is the slowest ** I have ever seen, won't catch up with the English game.

Yes, I can't believe how fast Gallas has lost it. We need a new CB and another CM
