Arsenals finishing has been poor. Especially Adebayor...

And Eboue's shot was a joke

Walcott offside for the disallowed goal...Marek Cech coming off for the Brom bet he regrets leaving us now (I actually liked him )

Great win today, but we should have scored more, and we had too many offsides.

Its the first game of the season what do you expect. No team is going to be on there midseason form. There is room for improvement but a win is a win.

Eboue is trash and i wonder y Wenger always let him play and this time in the centre midfield.... Adebayor is way too selfish and plays too deep as if he is a midfielder. And Arsenal is just too stubborn to cross the ball in to the penalty box , we have 2 tall strikers...Adebayor and Bentner both above 6'2 and we must take advantage of their height. I think Arsenal is just trying to score the perfect goal , and they will risk losing the trophy if they do.

A win is a win. Doesn't matter how it happens. Obviously, they will need to have better performances to win the league, but you never turn down the three points.

Yea.. a win is a win...but Arsene Wenger must seriously make changes to the team as they cant get lucky all the time.
West brom defending aint good at all and we have almost 20 chances , but we onli managed to put 1 into the net. Wenger should be asking questions on the team's ability to convert chances into goals.

When has swinging in crosses from the side ever been our style? Let me tell you, never. Arsenal don't rely on just using crosses to score. The reason that Eboue gets playing time is because he is a good player. Its not his fault he gets played out of his natural position. Arsene is the one that plays him in the different areas and he tries to do his best. I can see Eboue being an effective holder, but I think there are better spots for him, namely RB and CB but we have others that are just as effective already playing there so Wenger is trying different things with Ebo.

I don't see what you are talking about in regards to Adebayor. He always drifts back, but he was never deep enough to be in the midfield. Its customary for ST to drift back when the action is no near there end and if he receives the ball while out of position thats fine because we have other that will be making runs so he can pass the ball off.

Arsenal are not trying to score the perfect goal, we just pass the ball a lot and some times we pass up junk oppurtunities in favor of scoring the pretty goal instead. Arsenal are at no more of a risk to lose the trophy as anyone else because they are not the only team that tries to go for the pretty goal instead of the scrappy goal. We have always been like that and I don't see it changing any time soon.

Did you watch the same game as I did? Arsenal didn't really create any chances so bringing up the teams ability to convert would be pointless. Adebayor missed a chance and other than that there were not many bright spots to our attack and that goes double after halftime. I don't know what 20 chances you are refering too but I didn't see much of anything out of our attacking prowess.

You can't make changes to a team when you are somewhat depleted. When fully healthy you will see a different team, but with injury concerns there is not really much of a choice as to who will be starting.

Always since 1997. Arsenal under George Graham were one of the most boring teams I can remember.

You do play superb football now though, as much as I hate to admit it.

That's why i've always found it a bit rich coming from them when they brag about how great their football style is compared to ours under Jose.

well i've said this many times here. Arsenal, whilst being entertaining (most of the time), just dont play efficiently... hence they never end up with any silverware - they have the ability to beat any team in europe tbh, but do not use their finesse consistantly.

weve really been labeled a boring team until Wenger took over it used to be 1-0's alltime and we used to be called "boring boring Arsenal" good to see its changed now but would like to see us be abit more clinical infront of goal, but its early season so we will improve.

People are always saying that Arsenal will win nothing playing pretty football but they forget 1998-2005.

Wasn't impressed during our win, but like most of you said, a win is a win. Felt as if we just didn't gel together but it's only the start so I can't start saying all this.

Our Twente 2nd Leg this week or next?

CL second legs should be next week I think

Yeah win wasn't really great. Although postives to be taken from the match are that Nasri is quickly getting the feel for the englsh game.

Nothing should be taken at full value from our first game because it was just that.........our first game. If we are playing like this in midseason form then there is something to worry about, otherwise take it with a grain of salt and just enjoy the three points.

Can't wait for the game tonight! I predict a 2-0 victoyr for us, Adebayor & Nasri will make Schwarzers game a nightmare, is Fabregas playing?

Probably not, he'll only be fit for the Twente second leg.

Damn, ok, then Wenger shouldn't play him against Twente, as if they'll score three goals without us even scoring one.
