Now without Rooney we are screwed we need to buy a striker ASAP, this is what i am talking about, 1 injury to one of our striker and we are in trouble, it shouldnt be like that for a big club like us
Rooney's not played a lot in pre season, and we've been fine
are you out of touch with reality?
we're missing Nani and Anderson for about 3 games, defo Nani.
Hargreaves says he's near fitness again after his bout of tendinitis

And if Sunderland want Saha, how can he be injured. You can't buy a player who's injured

The summer transfer saga involving the courting of Manchester United's Ronaldo by Real Madrid is "closed".

Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson has declared the Portuguese international will remain at Old Trafford.

Ferguson insists that Ronaldo, who underwent ankle surgery earlier this summer and is not expected to return to action until October, will stay.

He said on Sky Sports News: "The matter is closed now. He (Ronaldo) is a Manchester United player - it's finished. He'll be playing here next season believe me. It's finished."

I knew this 3 weeks ago only fool would think Fergie would sell him

Now i wanna hear Ronaldo talk, apologize and give 100% I hope he doesnt get booed cause no matter what he did he still gave us everything in the last 2 years, helped us get back on top of english football so it would be abit harsh to see him booed by our fans.....at the end of the day he is still a Man Utd player

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was impressed by the Da Silva twins, Rafael and Fabio, in their debut against Peterborough this week.

"Against Peterborough, they [the Da Silva twins] looked like they'd be playing regular games for the last two years, not missing a year, so that's talent," Ferdinand said. "You ask yourself could an English player do that, the same thing, and it's difficult to say.

"Watching the foreign teams and seeing the touch their kids possess and the way they take the ball, it's a lot different to our kids and the individual skills they have. It's just a comfort on the ball, a different style and a different outlook on how to play.

"We bring other things to the table in terms of desire, energy and will to win, so if we can marry the two of those things together, then we will have a great mix and blend. But until we do that, then we're not going to have the droves of children coming through."

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says he hasn't had to take on any extra work since Carlos Queiroz's departure this summer.

Ferguson is searching for an assistant following the departure of Queiroz to the Portugal national side.

"I'm not really doing any more myself," insisted Ferguson. "Other than looking at who's all bloody injured and who's got viruses and worrying about whether we're going to have a team to start the season."

He added: "Speaking Portuguese may possibly be an area where boxes have to be ticked in the search for an assistant. We hope to have someone by the end of September,"

some people...
we were fine vs Espanyol, they're a good team. The Pirates and the Chiefs are decent teams anyway. Just look at the results we got vs them, bar the last game vs the Chiefs

might as well pick up Berba, because Tevez (i can see) will decline this season... Should have never signed him perm, but Alex probably couldnt be bothered replacing him... But I doubt he was worth the 32m ....

He puts in 2000% every game, he works so hard for the team, runs abut 10miles per game, did 11 vs Barca(2nd leg, he was running to Moscow), an you're saying he'll decline! w t f??

oh yeah, he's not bad at putting the ball in the net as well.

running 1 million miles a day has nothing to do with rate of decline danny
if your going to disagree, use a decent point

i personally dont agree, but thats cause he is an awesome player, no need for another reason

not many strikers play badly at united, we create so many chances, they just have to put some away. Thats why players like Campbell or Welbeck would do fine at united if they get an opportunity
