No chance. Barca are playing lalalala this year. They could only beat Schalke 1-0. What makes you think they'll beat us(the best in europe) 3-0?

As I said vs lyon and Roma if we get an away goal, i can see us going through. Thats happened vs both those teams and we have gone through. I can see us beating Barca home and away.

You all know I'm not one of those Liverpool fans that beat down on United so heres my honest opinion.

I think Manchester United will scrape it, it'll be very close, maybe some brilliance from Ronaldo or Tevez, but not from Rooney, I see him playing a very minor role accross the two legs.

Camp Nou:

Barcelona 2 - 1 Mancheser United

Old Trafford:

Manchester United 3 - Barcelona 1

I'm hoping for a Man U v Liverpool final, would be great.

With that Rooney comment I think your off your head. Tevez has been the one sitting on the bench in the Champoions League. But its your opinion

As long as Rooney keeps his cool, because no doubt the Spanish players and fans will try to wind him up like in the international match! Luckily for us, I think he's a lot more mature these days, despite the consistent swearing that you can lip read! lol!

oooooo

i disagree with that quite a bit
out of everyone in the team, rooney is usually the one who does something brilliant when we need it the most

i think the game all depends on if vidic will play or not

if he is fully fit for both legs, we will go through, if not, well, i dont want to say

Won't depend on Ronaldo that's for sure - he'll probably end up having 2 poor games an people will say "He's suffering from fatigue" to cover up the fact he's shyite against top quality opposition an it depends whether Messi's fit or not... if Messi plays Barca will go through IMO, if not, United probably will.

Shame United are playing them now though, would love to have seen how they coped against them a few years ago like we did when they were near enough at their peak in recent years... You looking for magic, Ronaldinho's goal against Cech was pure magic.

The Importance Of Park

Quote:
Ji-sung Park’s recent form has delighted Sir Alex Ferguson – but the United boss may be unaware of just how big a contribution the Korean has made.

The 1-0 win over Roma in Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg was the livewire winger’s 17th start in the last two seasons – and the Reds have won every one of those games.

His tireless running caused no end of problems for the Roma defence and he narrowly failed to cap an excellent night with a late goal when goalkeeper Doni deflected his effort onto the roof of the net.

It was the latest of several impressive displays that Park has made since returning from a long-term knee injury at Christmas to boost the Reds’ title tilt.

In his nine starts since the turn of the year, United have scored 18 goals and conceded none, a remarkable run which includes the 4-0 FA Cup win over Arsenal as well as the home and away victories over Roma.

“He has shown absolutely the right attitude and risen to the occasion when called upon,” Ferguson told United Review before Wednesday’s game. “This boy is a very good player.

“He is incredible in training with tremendous energy and it might just be worth pointing out that a couple of his recent first-team appearances have seen us beat Arsenal 4-0 and Fulham 3-0 with other wins when he has played like 1-0 at Derby and 2-0 against Portsmouth. He never lets us down!”

Reds legend Paddy Crerand was equally fulsome in his praise of the 27-year-old.

"The team Sir Alex put out against Roma shows that the manager is utilising his squad," Crerand told MUTV. "It demonstrates the strength of the squad that United won 1-0 and made it through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

"Park is the perfect example. He has done exceptionally well since he came back from injury, and he was excellent again against Roma.

"He is a player that has been out for a long period with injury. And when players are out for a long time, you sometimes forget how good they are until you see them playing again.

"Park has got great energy and his movement really troubles teams. He's a valuable asset to the team."

To all his doubters(sp?) really. He is a good player

Manchester United are set to make Cristiano Ronaldo the highest paid player in the Premiership - on a cool £150,000-a-week.

The Sun says Ronaldo is set to sign a new £40million deal with United. The Portuguese winger, 23, will put pen to paper on the five-year deal before Euro 2008.

Ronaldo's current contract had four years to run but United want to stave off Real Madrid.

A United source said: "This will be the biggest contract in the club's history. Given Ronaldo's achievements over the past two years, it's easy to understand why.

"There is no doubt he is the best player in the world and we want to make sure he is happy at United. There is only one place for him and that is Old Trafford."

Ronaldo's new deal will dwarf that of team-mate Wayne Rooney on £112,000 a week.

He leapfrogs the Chelsea quartet of Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko - both on £130,000 a week - and Frank Lampard and John Terry, who are on £120,000 a week.

still hoping for the stuff up from ronaldo aren't you. He has performed against every single premier league team. scored against all but chelsea i think. He has been great in the champions league so far, 7 champions league goals, winners against lyon and roma. So he has performed against top quality oppositions this season already. If he doesn't perform against ronaldo all the ronaldo haters would say he is shyite again. but not real football fans. messi won't have much of an impact against man utd imo. he would just be back for a game or so. hard for a player to get straight back to the top. Maybe he will get lucky and performs against a top team once a year but i doubt it

this pains me to say but you guys are going to do the double this year i can feel it, unless we beat you on sunday the league is yours, and seeing as liverpool rely on dodgy refs, chelsea are just lalalala but lucky, barca are pretty standard united are the only team really on form. bastads

Soz didn't understand a word of that, from what I gathered, you don't think Messi performs against top quality opposition? Ronaldo scoring doesn't mean he's performing... against Liverpool he was p155 poor, he got his goal, fair play to him, but he was very poor.

He's got a chance to correct last year when he didn't show up against AC Milan, if Messi's back I fully expect him to take all the plaudits, just my opinion though, we'll see when the time comes eh? You best hope he performs though.
