Juninho.

Scholes will be back by then. Lots of fouls, FKs, and you know the rest.

Lyon it is then. Hardly the ideal team to meet, even though it shall be an exciting leg and I have a good feeling about it. I wouldn't trade with Liverpool or Arsenal anyhow... Chelsea however

- Would I trade Saha and Brown (plus a few million ) for Berbatov? No.
- Would I trade Nani for Berbatov. No.
- Would I trade Saha and Silvestre for Benzema? Maybe. Would leave a bittersweet taste though

You rate those players far too highly. I'd trade saha, brown, nani and silvestre for Benzema....... if I were Ferguson. or You.

But you are not, you rate them too lowly

If Saha wasn't as injury prone as he is he'd be regarded among the very top strikers in Europe, no doubt. As for Brown, only lalalala and gophers with no eyes say he's a bad defender.. I spose it's just easy for people to say he's a poor defender, but what I find funny is that they can't come up with many that are better than him

Silvestre might be on his last legs, and the greedy one might fancy selling him off while he can still generate some mooooney.. I'm not quite as cold-hearted though.

Nani has a bright bright future, and you don't sell a talent as great as that after just a few months.

reminds me of '99

i'd bite your hand off to swap Saha and Brown for Berbatov... i hear what your saying about saha Jase but it's not gonna change is it, he's always gonna be a whining paranoid injury prone.

I'd rather swap Saha for Berbatov + a few million then. (Spurs would be fools to agree to that though, since they already have several strikers.) We need Brown, and it's not as if we can get anyone better than him for the time being

Unless of course he now wants to leave

well he isnt signing a contract

may as well sell him now rather then letting him go for free in the summer. bring in Lahm and Berbatov, if Spurs do the swap.

it seems a strange thing for him to do... maybe 2 or 3 years ago you might expect him to do a Phil or a Nicky and want away for first team football... but to do it now when Gary seems to have virtually retired is a bit weird.

I reckon he's been thinking about it for quite a while... but was too scared to actually ask Fergie for a transfer so just waited till contrcat talks to reject one... which he knew would virtually see him out the door with Fergie's stubborness. But like you say, him leaving would leave us in URGENT need of a right back

... with no money

Leaving us now makes no sense what so ever. We're going strong in all competitions, the odds are low on us lifting at least one trophy.. Like you said it's uncertain whether Nevs will be able to return, at least this season.. He has played well and been a much better replacement at the right back than anyone would of imagined.

What would he gain by moving to Newcastle or Spurs? UEFA qualification at the best

to be fair, you never really know what truly goes on behind the scenes, any number of things could have happened to make him want out, us minnions rarely get the full picture given to us (we might have to wait for his autobiography )

Boss reveals new signing

United has reached agreement with Petro Athletico of Luanda to sign Mateus Alberto Contreiras Goncalves – "Manucho."

The 24-year-old Angolan international striker, who has scored twice in 10 appearances for his country, has agreed personal terms and will join the Club in January on a 3-year agreement. An application for a work permit will be made in due course.

He was top goalscorer in the last two seasons of the GiraBola, finishing with 16 goals for Petro Luanda in 2006 and 15 goals this year. Manucho will be part of the Angolan squad for the African Nations Cup in January.

Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted by the new arrival, saying: “We have had Manucho here for a 3-week trial and have been impressed enough to offer him a 3-year contract.

"He is a tall, agile, quick forward and through contacts that Carlos [Queiroz] has was brought to our attention around six months ago

I think this is him:

hopefully we will see him play sometime this season

he must be pretty good as i doubt Fergie would sign a 24 year old to play in reserves
