i dont think Jose liked the fact that cudicini was short

it looked to me liked he wanted a keeper that was gonna be dominating on crosses.

Oh dear...

Jose had a good relationship with Carlo, he was promised to play the CC Final in 2005 until he picked up a suspension against Newcastle in the FA Cup that same week, being that he was out, Jose let him lead our team out onto the pitch.

Do you honestly believe Hilario would have played ahead of Carlo had he not got injured? He was out an then couldn't play against Barca cause of the rule with concussion (Even worse in Boxing mate)... Hilario did impress against Barca, but he slowly started to show how poor he was, cost us dearly, especially against Arsenal.

Still, he never messed his career up with us, like I said, he's Chelsea through an through, we love him, an he's stayed loyal to us.

yeah and by staying loyal he lost his quality

no team would want him now, he hasnt been a keeper for 2 years now, i believe. 2 years ago people would pay millions for him but not any more. i think he kinda stayed for the glory, which is fine for a year but after that u r just ruining ur career.

he is(was) to good to be a 2nd keeper

Seeing as every damn topic goes in this thread, and it's legendary habit of being able to go off-topic without being locked...

I'm gonna be a gone for a while, and I know you all will miss me greatly...especially the Americans and Reddevils

until next, peace out...

Sunderland manager Roy Keane has reiterated his desire to take United duo Jonny Evans and Danny Simpson back on loan.

The pair spent five months at the Stadium of Light last season, and were an integral part of the Black Cats' promotion from the Championship.
And, following Sir Alex Ferguson's admission that some of his younger players will embark on fresh loan deals this season, Keane is monitoring the situations of his former loanees.

Keane said: "If I thought there was an opportunity to bring Jonny to Sunderland, we would consider it. He did brilliantly for the club before, as did Danny, and it would be nice if we thought they'd come back.

"It was a nightmare giving them back as they they'd settled in so well. But they were good professionals, hard trainers out on the pitch and ready to put everything in."

Following Simpson's outstanding display against Wigan on Saturday, the chances of him being allowed to temporarily leave Old Trafford seem remote, but Keane is happy to bide his time over the move.

"Nothing happens until January anyway," he said. "But I know there will be a lot of teams ringing up United after Sir Alex said the other week that there would be plenty going out on loan.

"His phone will be red hot at this moment in time and whether Jonny will still be there in January I really don't know, but it would be nice if we thought they'd come back."
I'd want them to stay, but then we don't know how things are in January and they'll probably develop better starting for Sunderland than in our reserves team and on our first team bench. They could always get more chances than they've had so far, but it's not likely for Evans to break in to the wall that is Rio-Vida and with Nevs coming back Simpson's chances should be radically reduced. He (Simmo) can play on the left as well though can't he, and behind Evra there're not that many options.

Perhaps Simpson could stay but let Evans go for a few months.

The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who will stay with Mick McCarthy's Championship side until January, made his United debut a day after his 18th birthday in the Carling Cup win over Barnet in October 2005.

He has not experienced any further first-team football since, but he has been a regular and impressive performer in the Reds' reserves.

McCarthy believes Gibson will add depth to his promotion-chasing team's midfield department.

"Darron is a talented midfielder that will bring us real competition for places in central midfield," McCarthy told the official Wolves website.

"He is only 19 but he is a good player and has a good range of passing."

... and a tribute to it in the game.

maybe a piece of commentary when something controversial happens in a game like "oooooh my word... that'll be talked about to death in the Manchester United thread after the game... i'm talking 3 pages worth here!"

at MUFC

and yeah keep Simpson, Brown out with a knee injury and G Neville needs some reserve games(according to SAF)

and not sure if he can play left back has he got a left foot? i would like to see him play against a team that attacks us to see how he copes but thats dangerous, u dont wanna lose 4 goals cause u wanted to test a youngster out against an attack minded team
