All I can tell you is...We went 1-0 up with a Rooney goal about 15 minutes in then Inter went 3-1 up within the next 15-20 minutes...then a funny own goal from Adriano in the second half made it 3-2..supposedly Ferdinand missed a sitter late on..I missed it because I was eating my Lamb Shank and Chips downstairs

I say let's wait until the season has officially started before laying into teams for being overrated. After all, while Inter Milan did win the Serie A hands down, they could be considered just as overrated for not winning the Coppa Italia or the Champions' League. Manchester United may not have been the strongest team in Europe by Champions' League standards but they won the games they needed to in order to become champions of the Premiership when no one picked them to win at the start of the season.

In truth, the defense lost the game tonight more than Inter actually won and I don't think that either team was playing to send a message. A truer test of whether any team is ready or not won't be possible until after we're a month or two into the actual season. If, at that time, Manchester United isn't playing winning and successful football, then maybe they are underachieving or overrated. Until then, you're entitled to your opinion but be prepared to have them served back to you with soup and salad.

Veron warns Tevez against Man Utd move

Juan Sebastian Veron has warned Carlos Tevez against joining Manchester United.

The former United midfielder said: "To triumph at the club is not easy, even if you are a superstar.

"Some players leave because of the enormous and constant pressure. Carlos will find that United is not like West Ham in any aspect. The change will be enormous and if things do not go well he could suffer a mortal fall in fortune."

Veron, 32, gave striker Tevez a few home truths about playing for the most famous club in the world during the Copa America tournament.

He admitted: "The people at Old Trafford are very critical. If a player has good fortune from the very first day everyone is positive. But if problems appear it is not so easy to triumph. The only possible goal there is success. Second place is failure and this burns deep into every player and can affect you.

"During the Copa America I spoke several times with Carlos about playing at Old Trafford and told him that while he turned himself into an idol at West Ham, it will be very difficult to do the same at United.

"English football is not as easy for Argentinian players.

"Last season Tevez exploited his situation after a number of months in the Premier League but he still needs to play and do it more regularly.

"Carlos will need help from Sir Alex Ferguson from the first moment.

"He must not be asked to perform wonders until he is well used to training methods and tactics."
some1 kill Veron

just cause he couldnt make it doesnt mean no argentinian can

I don't like when players defame their old clubs.

West Ham set to agree Tevez deal

West Ham and Carlos Tevez's advisors will confirm on Friday that they have reached an agreement over the striker's registration, Five Live understands.
With the threat of High Court action on 22 August hanging over negotiations, talks have been ongoing this week.

BBC Five Live's Nigel Adderley said: "A settlement has been reached, and that could be ratified by the Premier League and Football Association on Friday."

It is thought Tevez's advisors MSI will pay West Ham between £1m and £3m.

That will free the 23-year-old Argentine to complete a move to Manchester United, whose manager Sir Alex Ferguson has made no secret of his desire to sign the player.

Tevez's switch to United had stalled over who will be paid the transfer fee.

The Premier League and West Ham say the Hammers should receive the fee but Kia Joorabchian's companies MSI and Just Sports Inc claim they own the striker's economic rights.

Adderley explained: "West Ham need to reach a settlement which proves to the Premier League they are the significant beneficiaries of any transfer involving Tevez."

Tevez, meanwhile, has said he expects to join United, adding: "To play for a super-club like Manchester United without any pre-season work behind me is going to be a real handicap."
it looks like now we may have him for the start of the season
