Allthough we must have one more (obviosly) cause otherwise Chelsea boys will win by more goals on away game.. though it will be extra time before that
The rules are that the away goal advantage won't come into play until (if it comes to it) extra time, so if Chelsea score in extra time then they would have an advantage(ie man utd would have to score 2 to get back in it). But if Man utd score again before full time then they would win.

wasn't that what I said?

If 1-1 stands, it will go to extra time.. if no goals are scored then, then Chelsea will win ()

4 mins left, doesn't look likely for man utd, but they'll keep trying.

Header cleared off the line by Wayne Bridge from corner.

Manchester United v Chelsea 1-2
Carling Cup Semifinal 2:2

Review

Too sad to write a constructive review.

It's to bad that we lost when we were the better team.

I'm not too sorry for the Carling Cup, it's just sad to lose against Chelsea and they will probably be even more strengthened after this.

Now lets take the positive out of this game, which is that we were better than Chelsea. Come on United!

howard is to blame. he should have made an effort to punch the ball---he was in the net.

Can't blame Howard, a defender should've headed away the ball or w/e

Yeah defenders just let it drift right past, they probably thought it was gonna go out but it was a right curler.

Nice sig ya got ther jason

All in all i think man u were unlucky as we should have had a t least one penalty in the two games and bridge cleared on the line. You cant blame howard, or any keeper if a goal likes duffs goes in as it is hard to call, in those situations its down to the defenders to do what they are paid for

It sure is

In one way it's sad that we didn't win when we deserved to.. you might think that it would feel better if Chelsea were the better team (which they weren't) but that wouldn't feel to good either

howard was in THE NET!

sure a defender should have headed it out, but you can't let a ball land in that position, he was in the net.

terrible

Manchester United v Middlesbrough
FA Cup 4th Round

Preview

It's time for the 4th round of the FA Cup, where United takes on Middlesbrough at Old Trafford. United advanced, with some problems in the first match, after a replay win over tiny team Exeter. Even though Middlesbrough should be harder to brake I think we will be more sharpened and aware of the mission.

Looking back a few years we remember how Boro sent us out of the tournament after a 2-0 victory, but I don't think that's what's going to happen today.

Both teams are missing some important players. Except the long term injuries of Solkjaer, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Kleberson (though the last two is on their way back ), Man U will also be without Roy Keane (suspended after 5 cautions) and Darren Fletcher. Alan Smith is looking to miss the game, but that is not certain yet.

In Boro players like Mark Viduka, Gaizka Mendieta, George Boateng and Ugo Ehiogu are injured, so they have some good players missing to. Perhaps worse than Man U since they don't have as good substitutes.

My prediction is a 3-1 win for United, and I think they will be surprised that they will win so easily. Though you never know with Boro, they are a team that can win and lose against every team in the Premiership.

If Downing is playing for them then our defence is gonna have to be wary of him, he can cross the ball well and hes got a good shot.

Really should have been 4 with the Heinze chance He didnt know whether to hit it with his foot, thigh, head, or bloomin lalalala

played well though and probably should have had one or two more. Though there were a few slip ups in defence

Great save by carrol though
