Liverpool v Manchester United 0-1
FA Barclays Premiership

Review

An extremely well performed match by United, who got to play with only 10 men in about 25 minutes. But had a very oganized defence so Liverpool never got any good chances, in spite of Carragher's shot from Gerrard's freekick pass in the end of the game, but Carroll made a good save.

My 'good feeling' before the match turned out to be true. Weird though was that neither of Rio or Ryan played at all, even though Sir Alex has said that they would be okey. But they failed on a test before the match. But we did it without them, and that's strong.

the United players should be very proud of themself, everyone was great! But if I should name a few who did the very best it will be Paul Scholes, who outshined Gerrard, Mikale Silvestre, who broke Liverpool's play all the time, Roy Keane, who showed who's the best captain on Merseyside.
Also special praise for Wayne Rooney who not just scored the only and winning goal, but who ran and ran and ran. Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been in a not so good form lately was good to, he succeeded with the most he did, and he also passed Rooney before his goal.

Lets just hope that Arsenal and Chelsea looses or atleast draws now.

But for now, we celebrate!

Watched the majority of the game as i was going out to play 5-aside footy. The bit which i watched: Liverpool had most of the play in the first 20mins until rooney got his goal, which was a good strike but dudek has to be blamed for the goal! After that it was mainly man u and the whole team played well!

Exeter v Manchester United
FA Cup 3rd Round Replay

Preview

We only got 0-0 home at Old Trafford against them in the first match, therefore the replay will be played tonight at Exeter's smaller home ground. That time Sir Alex tried a younger team than he will put up tonight. He can't risk to be eliminated directly by a team like Exeter, all honour to them though.

Ryan Giggs is in the preliminary squad, we'll see if he's playing.

This is the preliminary squad:

Howard, Ricardo
G Neville, O'Shea, Silvestre, Heinze, Fortune, P Neville
Fletcher, Ronaldo, Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Djemba-Djemba, Miller
Saha, Rooney, Smith, Bellion

Not sure which players that will be on the starting 11, but I'm very sure that Howard and G. Neville will play from the beginning.

I think we will win pretty easily, not too easily though, but 3-0 for us seems like a reasonable result. I'm happy if we just win, but against Exeter we should demand a good and easy win.

Exeter v Manchester United 0-2
FA Cup 3rd Round Replay

Review

Man U won the replay then, but as many papers have been written, Exeter won people's hearts and they deserve credit 0-0 and then only 0-2 against Manchester United is extremely good.

We had an comfortable win last night even though we only won by two goals.

Now we will take on Boro in the 4th round. That should be a tougher match than Exeter, but it wont be the same thing and I'm pretty sure they will make it.

Hmm, I don't think anyone knows surely yet when Ruud is coming back. Sir Alex lately said that he expected him to be back earlier than what they first thought. Even though things have been OK without him they really needs him to get back very soon. We need a player who scores almost all of his chances, 'cause that's what United's been bad at since he got injured, which was a while ago

Manchester United v Aston Villa
FA Barclays Premiership

Preview

They met not so long ago, three weeks to be precisely, and then United won with 1-0 after a goal from Ryan Giggs. 1-0 sounds like a reasonable result for today's game too.

Good news is that Rio Ferdinand is definately is back, bad news is that Alan Smith is injured.

Hopefully United can keep its good row rolling.

Manchester United v Aston Villa 3-1
FA Barclays Premiership

Review

United started the game very well, and after only 9 minutes the score was 1-0 after a good run and goal by Cristiano Ronaldo, who did his best match of the season, and therefore also was chosen the Man of the Match, not only by me.

We started the second half pretty bad, if it was because of Fletcher being injured and substituted for Quinton Fortune (not that Fortune played bad or anything) I'm not sure, but something seemed wrong. In the 53rd minute Gareth Barry scored 1-1, which was United's first goal to let in, in about 8 games.

But United came back as they allways do, and Lois Saha could score his first Premiership goal of the season after a great preparation by Wayne Rooney. Not long at all after the 2-1-goal, Scholes headed in 3-1 on rebound by Sorensen after Ronaldo's too hard shot.

To sum up, a fair win for United, who got to spend the night at second place, ahead of Arsenal, in the first time this season. Unfortunately the Gunners won today against Newcastle, so we are back at third place. However, I think we'll be back at the second place soon, because he have been playing much better than Arsenal for a long time and we are in a great form. It will be even better when our beloved Ruud van Nistelrooy is back!

One more thing, anyone who saw this game must have noticed how Villa's Nolberto Solano pressed his hand up in Silvestre's face, in the almost exact way that Rooney did (if not worse), which got him a 3 match suspension. When Rooney got that suspension I said that it was just because of the fact that it was he who had done it. So it will be interesting to see if Solano will face the same destiny as Roon. It would be a complete scandal otherwise.

To be honest, a 3 game suspension is too much for this, but since Rooney got it than Solano should too.

This how it was (note: Silvestre was facing straight forward before Solano's hand 'appeared')

Ruud On Course For Milan Return

Ruud van Nistelrooy remains on target to play against AC Milan in next month after the striker made a significant step in training last week.

The 28-year-old Dutch striker has been training in Holland to overcome an Achilles injury that has sidelined him since November.

Ferguson has been in contact with van Nistelrooy, and said of the striker: "He's doing very well. I spoke to him and he's coming along great.

"He's started running now. We will hopefully have him for the AC Milan game."

Report by Ben Hibbs, at Carrington.

Manchester United v Chelsea
Carling Cup Semifinal 2:2

Preview

So, it's time for, what Sir Alex calls it, the battle of the best teams of England. When it comes to form he is right, they are the best teams right now.

The first match ended in a scoreless draw, and my guess is that there wont be many goals in this match. My tip is a 1-0 win for United. That doesn't only come from my heart, also my brain thinks that we can knock Chelsea.

The Carling Cup isn't really a very important cup, it's just a good opportunity to give your youngsters and reserves a chance. Allthough, that wont be the case in tonight's match. It seems that both teams are going to put up pretty much their best teams, perhaps one or two important player (starting) on the bench.

Hopefully we will win this match so Chelsea can get a wobble, as Arsenal got after we beat them in October, ending their unbeaten row.

To sum up, the more than 67 000 on Old Trafford is up for a great game!
