Evra hasn't looked all too good so far, but I didn't expect him to shine just like that.

He's adapting to the English style of play and he's been caught out a number of times by one of the Man City players, and he's been hoofing the ball into no where.

Ronaldo's red card was a joke. Bennet is a [removed by prem - no evading the swear filter] clown!

Cristiano's 'challenge' was idiotic, because IF he had hit he player, it could've gone really bad. But as he made NO contact, it just CAN'T be a red card, it can't! At the moment I can't come up with any other time I've been so damn angry with a refereee. For me it's common sense that if a player makes an ugly tackle, but he doesn't touch the other player, you just give him a warning. Not a damn straight red. If Ron had had a yellow from before I would've understood if he got a second yellow.

Also, it wouldn't have happened if Bennet had given Ron a free kick a few seconds earlier, which he should have.

We might have lost the match even if we hadn't got a red card, but Bennet surely reduced our chances to get back.

That's right. I AM blaming the ref this time.

I'm am going to destroy something now. Perhaps even kill something.

Or someone. Bennet should watch out.

I might be back later.

Man this totally ruins my whole day (atleast). Usually when (if) United win I can with pleasure watch other matches afterwords, just relax you know. I was almost looking forward to watch Pool - Spurs, but I don't at all feel like it anymore. I can't stand football right now. I can't really stand anything right now.

I'm tearing myself apart.

Pathetic - No, that isn't at the performance but the referee. We certainly weren't at our best today but we definately weren't as bad as the scoreline suggests. The game was 50/50 in terms of how the teams played and apart from mistakes at the back (namely silvestre) none of the decisions went our way today. As Andy said, refs don't always do themselves favours and today steve bennett certainly didn't. He is always too quick to pull out a card even for the most minor of things that other refs would let go the first time but the red card he gave was a disgrace. If ronaldo had made contact then obviously he deserved to be sent off but he didn't even make contact and a yellow card would have been enough, especially after the tackle on ronaldo a few seconds earlier that went unpunished. Obviously its down to the players to play well enough to get the points but the sending off definately dented our chances of being able to get a draw. Going on his decisions I'm suprised James only saw yellow for kicking the ball into the stands , but then again City got the decisions and got away with things that we didn't

Steve Bennet is an idiot He's just so petty and he has such a big ego I think we dominated most of the match, and were let down by stupid errors. I really hope Vidic is good enough to replace Silvestre because he was awful today, especially when we conceded the goals.

Silvestre has been poor for most of the season with loads of stupid mistakes.

Steve Bennett seems to let the "power" of being a ref go to his head and the slightest of things will usually be blown out of proportion by him and he wont hesitate to hand out a card instead of giving the player a good talking to first time round.

@Holm - its made a mess of your day? Can't be as bad as mine,I'm still not fully right after getting absolutely hammered last night, we lost with stupid errors/decisions and I really need to start my revision for an exam on monday morning

Well, you are obviously lacking experience in this if you don't know how much you can take.

I could have taken plenty more seeing as I wasn't staggering around anywhere or wasn't sick, a good night out is always shown by how you feel in the morning
