You have no chance of winning the EPL, maybe Utd have suffered from losing Ronaldo, who wouldn't? Utd have a much better chance of winning the EPL than Arsenal who are great to watch for 3 or 4 months and then they lose it.

I don't think any intelligent Arsenal fan is going into the season thinking we are the favourites to win the title, however it's not that ridiculous a proposition.

The reason why I did not name Fabregas is because he is not a very pacey player, he is a terrific playmaker but in my book spark means the person that has the audacity to beat the man and get in to space. And yes I did forget Nasri.

its funny how people question Fergie's tactics. We have played with 5 mids against Arsenal for like forever. We have had success in the past.
The blame is for the players and their decision making. Take away even just half the misplaced passes (which we don't usually make), we would have more control of the ball, all Arsenal's possession and attack were given to them by us.

I'm happy we got the 3 points but really, the formation did not work to the extent of the attacking performance.

If Valencia played to the standard of the first few games, Giggs definitely should of played better same with Carrick. If those players play better, keep control of the ball, we had enough possession to control the game, therefore we would of created more chances. We had like 2 shots on target or something, both the goals. (ignore nani's last chance as arsenal sent everyone forward). What i still don't get is whats the deal with all the long balls to a lone striker like Rooney? gallas and vermuelan would dominate him any day of the year. As shown in the 1st few games, even 2 strikers berba and rooney long balls don't work. Our players are just rushing things, trying to get that perfect through pass all the time, and give possession away. Plus i don't think this has anything to do with Ronaldo. Ronaldo played outwide, our downfall was passing, keeping possession in attacking areas, and stupid longballs.

Also, is Scholes injured or something? Because I want to see him in the midfield. |

Having watched MOTD twice now, both morning and night, I am getting a little concerned at how average the defence is playing. Vidic was making some rash tackles, and Evra looked uncertain at times, along with Brown. I hope this isn't because of Ferdinand being out.

Brown hasn't played too many games in the past year, it is understandable that he was rusty, i doubt he is match fit either, but Evans is out injured, so is rio... could of played O'shea@cb and Neville@rb, but fergie would of never went for that as arsenal is very pacey and neville is quite slow nowadays. Evra has always been like that though... sometimes he can be shaky and sometimes he can be a rock. He was still pretty good, his attacking play is always good though

I agree with what you have said, but I would prefer Evra to be better at stopping attacks, rather than starting them right now!
