You honestly think they will buy a top class striker after this Owen fiasco? Then they will have 6 strikers..this is probably it..maybe he will strengthen the midfield OR the money will simply go to the debt.

Because Valencia will play RM/RW now, and Owen will take over Tevez's role by rotating with Berba and Rooney. Imo it's pretty well spend this way. Valencia is class and Owen is a good Back up.

I believe Ibra is priced around the 40m mark. Fabiano is cheap if you compare, but he's 29.

Or more realistically around 90 million seeing as we obviously had a transfer budget for the start of the summer, its not like we weren't going to be allowed spend.

If madrid sign Ribery then that has to be it for them signing attacking players, how could anyone else possibly expect to go there and get any playing time.
And i would happily take Sneijder or Van Der Vaart who they probably don't want. Wouldnt say no to Robben either. There are still plenty more players out there people are idiots if they seriously think we cant sign someone because madrid might also want them, that has only happened with Benzema!!

Really, what other choice does Fergie have?

He can't sign the big names as they all want to be wearing white, so he will have to go for quality players that don't get the media treatment or players with the potential to unlock their past form.
