What The Papers Say

Moreira Is No.1 Pick For Fergie
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has put Portuguese keeper Jose Felipe Moreira at the top of hilalalala list. Ferguson sent brother Martin - United's chief European scout - to watch the Benfica star shut out Porto as he seeks a long-term solution to his problem position. United have been checking on the 22-year-old for a few weeks, also sending a delegation to Benfica's recent game with Sporting Lisbon. Moreira has plenty of experience for someone of his age and has played in European competition as well as being Portugal's current second choice. Ferguson wants a new keeper at a reasonable price in the wake of Tim Howard and Roy Carroll's poor form.
Alan Nixon, Daily Mirror

Roo Can Be New Eric
Ian Dowie believes Wayne Rooney will emulate United legend Eric Cantona on the pitch because he is better at keeping his cool off it. Dowie rates Cantona as one of the best players he has seen, but was playing for Crystal Palace against United 10 years ago when he kung-fu kicked Eagles fan Matthew Simmons. The former United star was banned from the game for nine months, but came back to be regarded as a Premiership great by the time he quit in 1997. Rooney has made a big impact at Old Trafford since joining from Everton for £27million last summer, but has been accused of failing to control his temper. The Palace boss said: "People talk about his short fuse but that will change - lads do silly things at 18 or 19. "Wayne can have as big an influence as Cantona, I can see him growing into that. Eric had that gravitas and aura about him."
Lee Reynolds, Daily Mirror

Kleberson Handed Last Chance
Kleberson was last night handed a final chance to salvage his faltering Manchester United career. The Brazilian midfield man, who is linked with a move to Corinthians, returned to training on Tuesday after an ankle op. But United boss Alex Ferguson insisted: "We are going to see how he does now he’s over this latest setback."
Sports staff, The Sun

Drogba: The Title Is Ours
Didier Drogba insists Chelsea have as good as wrapped up the Barclays Premiership title with 10 weeks of the season left. The Ivory Coast striker feels Manchester United's charge has come too late, and will look to prove as much when Chelsea go to Norwich tomorrow. Jose Mourinho's men secured their first trophy of the season when they lifted the Carling Cup last weekend with their 3-2 win over Liverpool, while rivals United narrowed the gap at the top. The clash against the Canaries tomorrow is in the evening, meaning the gap could be just three points when the leaders kick-off at Carrow Road. But Drogba cheekily said: "We have won the title. This season we are the best."
Sports staff, Daily Mail

Round-up by Ben Hibbs.

Carroll has again stated he wants to stay at united, what a plank His agents are ill advising him imo and at this moment in time we cant afford to let him go as we are not guarrented a keeper in the summer. He should make up his own mind about his contract and not listen to his greedy agent imo, not like hes gonna get payed loads with the mistakes hes making at the moment

Well seeing as Fergie has already bought one young keeper and is now possibly buying another one Caroll won't be getting into the team much I doubt, so why he just doesn't leave I don't know

Well, that new keeper is very young so he won't be first team material for some time (if ever, who knows?). Carroll might be retired before that happens.

0-0 draw against Palace, should have had a penalty in the last minute, but thats what we get for not taking our chances, and why on earth Fergie left Rooney out until the 70th minute after hes been playing so well I don't know

The reason is that we have a game against Milan on Tuesday, but he should have got more than 30 minutes. It was when Wayne came in we started to play as United.

I'm in my worst mood right now.

Lets just hope Norwich can grab 3 or 2 points from Chelsea, that's our only chance.

It's not impossible If Crystal can snatch points from United, Norwich can do the same with Chelsea.

Hmm I think it's like this:

Cech
Johnson - Gallas - Terry - Ferreira
Tiago - Lampard - Makeléle
Cole - Drogba - Duff

Chelsea boys are up by one atm.

2 points?

Oh well, Chelsea have it easy...

We got West Brom, Palace and Southampton to come, and Robben could be back for the Barca game, if not, he will 100% certain be back for West Brom....

Good news for me, and we're 8 points clear

Ah it was pretty inevitable Norwich weren't gonna get anything from this match, how many games have they lost in a row?

You in for a shock if you think playing us is going to be easy especially at home, you only beat us 2-1 at stamford bridge, it will be a very tough game for you, you may still win but it certainly wont be easy.
