I have a feeling that things are gonna start happening over the next couple of weeks... Valencia signs -> Away kit launched -> Campbell stays -> Home kit launched -> Benzema signs

i hope Campbell stays after all... would be great if we get Zema.. seeing as we have the money, then its a higher possibility than it ever was - but i still have a small feeling we wont get him yet.

Paul Scholes won nearly a quarter of a million pounds gambling £ 46,000 three horse races in just 48 hours.
The Manchester United player made the winning punts in a two-day spree, picking horses from the stable of favourite trainer, Howard Johnson. Former England star Scholes, started slowly, betting "just" £ 1,000 10-1 on Nosferatu in a race at York. When that bagged him a £ 10,000 profit, he decided to up the stakes. days later he bet £ 25,000 on Bow Beaver at Carlisle, and pocketed £ 29,000 his original stake back. He then put £ 20,000 on Stonehaugh at the same track. With odds of 15-bookies had to pay out £ 170,000 as horse came home ahead of the field. A source said: "Paul has been a fan of trainer Howard Johnson for quite a while now. "He really likes the way his yard is run and if he spots that one of his horses is in a race he will invariably back it. "Over the years he has won quite a bit on Johnson-trained horses, but this was an amazing run of results. "To win three bets in a row on horses all trained at the same yard is pretty unusual. What makes it even more Our impressive is that only one of the three he backed was the favourite." Friends of £80,000-a-week Scholes say he has bet lower stakes on horses in the past - usually a few hundred pounds - but has increased his stakes since going on a trip to Chester races last month. The course's chief executive Richard Smith is a United fan and regularly entertains players. Scholes, a married father of three, owns four horses himself. He bought one, Moscow Eight, as part of a syndicate believed to include United team-mates Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, John O'Shea, Wes Brown and Michael Carrick. He said in one interview: "I just like to see the horses, watching them train, seeing how they go." Other racing enthusiasts in the world of soccer include Michael Owen, who has his own stables, Wayne Rooney, who once ran up £700,000 of gambling debts, and horse owner Alan Shearer.
