Seriously guys I have watched Welbeck play and to me he is the most selfish player on our 2nd String. Do you guys think Fergie will dare start him on next season.

I don't think he is going to just jump into Tevez/Ronaldos shoes but with time he could become a starting player, same goes for Macheda.

I know but to me Macheda deserves that spot more. Did you see when we played against Hull City Welbeck got a lot of chances were he could pass the ball but he would never give it off.

It is because he is young and he was trying to prove him self, if you play for a team like United and you get a chance to start, you need to impress if he was running and macheda was open he probably thought, people will look at the scoresheet and Macheda will take all the credit, Welbeck wants the credit that is probably why he was so desperate to score.

You are taught in an Academy that you should play pure football as a team,
TEAM means TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE. Selfishness cannot be tolerated at this level considering they have made it so far. And to me Macheda played better, he moved well and got himself to the right spots.

I agree, I am just talking from Welbecks point of view.

Welbeck is a great dribbler but he can't pass yet. I hope he makes it anyway, the new Gary Neville.

Danny Welbeck is a red,
Is a red, is a red,
Danny Welbeck is a red,
He hates scousers!

hopefully danny makes it, but to me at this stage of football you have to know how to move the ball efficiently, if not score after all thats how Ronaldo got away with selfishness.

Yeah I agree but I have full faith that Ferguson will sort him out.

for the future yes. he's just raw talent at the moment, fast, technically sound and a good eye for goal. worth a bid i say.

i'm sure he'll make it. he's one of the biggest prospects at the club.

you've got to remember that he's only 18 and has a lot of learning to do. against hull his decision making wasn't that good, but he played excellent and his "selfishness" shadowed out just how well he played in that game.

Because thats what united would of told him to say, like i said already there was no way United would let Ronaldo say he wanted to leave throughout the season, or during the celebrations.

Isn't that what happened last time? Real Madrid made an offer last time around, and Ronaldo wanted to leave, yet Fergie said no.

Im not denying the fact that he has always wanted to go, BUT not because he doesn't like United, but its his dream to play for Madrid. I have said all along that Ronaldo will leave this summer since the start of the season, BUT that doesn't mean that we should call Ronaldo a scum, because i believe he still love playing for United, and he would treasure his time at United forever.

But he voluntarily had interviews he wasnt forced into it. i understand him saying he wants to stay if he is interviewed after games as obviously he aint gonna say "i am leaving" after winning the league etc but he doesnt have to have interviews mid week when there isnt any matches on

also he doesnt need to go on about how this is his home and that he wants to play here forvever he can just say he wants to stay and move on he doesnt need to go on and on talking lala making it worse

Madrid never made an official bid from my understadning, thats what lalalalaed fergies off. they unsettled ronaldo without even making an offer

Not by the way he acted this season, this season he has looked more self centered then ever. throwing his arms up anytime a player made a bad pass or he couldnt control a pass from a team mate thats just not right

i am sure he will treasure his moments here....the winning trophies part. i thank him for winning us trophie but at the end of the day he is leaving with me havig no respect for him as a person. thats just my view. i wish him well in madrid and i will be watching him nearly every week

Ummm you don't know much do you? those interviews are voluntary, Ronaldo was there representing United, and media constantly bombard the press conference with the same questions, and as a united player of course United has a right to tell what ronaldo can say and can't.

He never said he wants to play here forever.

Majority of his interviews, he indicates that he is enjoying his time at united, and united is the right club for him.

"official bids" aren't official bids until someone accepts.

Thats why i said he was going to leave, and everyone said no he won't. i said it throughout the season.

Thats just his personality, that should be your views on him if he leaves or not. but obviously its not, when he is a united you love him.

Players move on, would you have no respect for United when they dump players from the squad? no.

United buy players from mid table clubs all the time, like Carrick, Ferdinand etc. To Ronaldo Madrid is a move up, just like Carrick moving from Tottenham to United.

He served the club well, he was successful here. So i have full respect for him, we are making nearly a 70m profit.
