a few players i wouldn't mind seeing at united that aren't huge names -

mata - valencia

gourcuff - bordeaux

bastos (14 goals and 11 assist this season) - lille

payet - st etienne

d-agostino (great playmaker, looks likely to go to juventus) - udinese

gignac (top scorer of french ligue, check his goals out on youtube) - toulouse

grafite - (top scorer in bundesliga 28 goals in 25 games same player that walked through bayern's defence) - wolfsburg

Unfortunately for you guys Ribery, is probably not going to Man U. Didn't you hear about Fergie's new policy of not spending a lot of money on players over 26? That would also rule out Villa. Villa also stated that he has no intention of leaving La Liga. In my opinion your next signing is going to be Antonio Valencia. I will be damned glad if Ronaldo goes to Madrid.

It wouldn't exactly be a policy if he was willing to just change it to suit whatever player he wanted to sign.

do you want the money because of Ronaldo's attitude? or just because its a good deal? because i don't remember many of you wanting ronaldo to leave last summer, when a similar pricetag was placed on him...

tbh i don't mind either way, i didn't mind if he left last summer as the rumours were 100m.

The thing is as long as we have a suitable replacement(s), im fine with selling ronaldo, players move on all the time, and all i care about is the club.

You always have to be awkward, don't you? Just agree with me.

Hulk is not really good enough for United, much better players out there then him!

Berbatov is going to be class don't worry, he'l do much better now nobody is claiming the ball the whole time and he's oing to track less down now Ronaldo is out of the picture.

Ribery>Mata but I reckon both aren't joining United.

I think the point is, Ronaldo gave us hope he wanted to be at the club, but now he is actually leaving we know he doesn't want to be here, I would rather have 80 million pounds then a player who does not want to be here.

Whelan said: "United have got a meeting with us in the next three or four days, Real Madrid have got a meeting with us in the next three or four days, and the other team have asked for a meeting."

However, the Latics supremo maintains that he will not force Valencia out of the DW Stadium in order to cash in.

Frighten

He added: "We can't tell anybody where they're going to go and play.

"If Real offered £2m more than United, or vice-versa, it would depend on where the lad wants to go."

Whelan also insists that he will not be leaking the name of the third team chasing the 23-year-old, but has said that the club is not from England.

"All season Real have followed him big style, Manchester United followed him big style and there is another club who have just come in from Europe, who we were unaware of," he continued.

"I swore I wouldn't reveal the identity of the other team because they are frightened of Real or United finding out."
what does he mean by that

I though Juan Mata played brilliant today in the Confederations Cup, I wasn't impressed my David Sliva though

Maybe a club like Liverpool who want us to think they have a small budget? So that if they make a bid for Valencia and fail, we won't know they have money to spend to rival us for other players.
