I'm pretty sure he's celebrating by smacking up his girlfriend.

No, seriously, Happy Birthday Roon

no, not at all. But I do find the over reaction to Roon's apparent "temper" issue funny. Especially when I don't hear anyone complaining about Beckham doing it or the other guy (the clapping I mean). I'm sure that someone is upset about it but no one is saying that becks needs therapy or whatever. Its all a crock of lalalala.

The post was not supposed to infer that spousal abuse is funny and I apologize if anyone took it that way. It was a poke at his critics who keep saying that he is a problem and needs to be "handled".

Wait, let me reword the sentence again.

Beckham & Ronney got sent off for applauding the referee's correct decision.

Apparently Real Madrid are going to appeal the ref's decision, because that Beckham didn't clap his hands sarcastically? That's what I read anyway.

Breaking news!

TWELVE MONTHS ON, a certain amount of mystery still surrounds the events in the Old Trafford tunnel on October 24, 2004, but a consensus appears to have been reached on the identity of the phantom pizza thrower. Jens Lehmann and Thierry Henry were among the rumoured culprits, but over time the finger of blame has come to be pointed at the cherubic Francesc Fàbregas.

Arsenal have sought to protect the miscreant’s anonymity, understandably so given the embarrassment the incident caused for one of the proudest clubs in British sport. It represented the low point — at least to date — in relations between the clubs and a day when Arsenal surrendered a great deal of dignity as well as their unbeaten record.

There had been bad blood between the camps in the build-up to the game. As well as the near-riot of Old Trafford a year earlier, indelibly lodged in the public consciousness by the sight of a maniacal Martin Keown bearing down on Ruud van Nistelrooy, several Arsenal players claimed to be still bearing the scars from a bruising FA Cup semi-final encounter at Villa Park. As on that occasion, Arsenal were subjected to some fearsome tackles. José Antonio Reyes, in particular, was subjected to some rough-house treatment, caught late three times in the space of ten first-half minutes, and, with an apparent dive by Wayne Rooney leading to the penalty from which United scored their first goal, Arsenal were understandably aggrieved at the final whistle.

What happened next, though, was inexcusable. As the players left the field, with insults being traded, Arsène Wenger chased Sir Alex Ferguson down the tunnel. Witnesses claim that Wenger was swearing at Ferguson, who confronted him outside the open door of the Arsenal dressing-room. Ferguson was said to be making his point forcibly when a slice of pizza flew out of the dressing-room, striking him on the shoulder and leaving both managers silent in disbelief.

By the time Ferguson faced the television cameras for a post-match interview ten minutes later, he had changed into a tracksuit, such was the damage to his jacket. David Gill and David Dein, respectively United chief executive and Arsenal vice-chairman, were so embarrassed by the incident that they agreed not to make it public, but inevitably details began to emerge, with leaks from both camps.

Three days later, with Arsenal back in the North West for a Carling Cup tie against Manchester City, Dein met Gill again for an informal peace summit in the hope of repairing relations between the clubs. At boardroom level, relations remain cordial, but the two sets of players and the managers, it seems, will never kiss and make up.

This the squad for tonight's Carling Cup match against Barnet:

Howard, Steele
Bardsley, Simpson, Brown, Pique, Eckersley, Richardson, O'Shea
Fletcher, Martin, Miller, Ronaldo, Smith
Rossi, Ebanks-Blake, Rooney

Brown is back from injury as you can see Just as Richardson.

I think we'll win.

To be precise, Flitney was sent off after 2 minutes, Miller scored in the 4th, then Richardson in the 19th

Happy?

Rossi just scored 3-0

Does anyone know if Chelsea is using their best team today?

I saw Terry had scored that's why I'm asking. Although, even their worst team is pretty damn great

4-1, let a goal in against 10 men thats appauling.

How on earth did that Barnet guy manage to get a red card just after 2 minutes?

We conceded

When i was out we were i checked and we were 3-0 up but as we managed to let in a goal it obviously means we have no hope in the competition

It's not just letting in a goal against 10 men, but which ten men? Yeah Barnet

Although it was our youngsters who played.

Ebanks is Sylvan Ebanks-Blake
