Default NVIDIA Fermi: The Life-Like 3D Rendering GPU - Leaked Pics!

Quote:
Finally, a gamers long waited Life-Like 3D rendering GPU is being developed by NVIDIA under the code name of ‘Fermi’. NVIDIA Fermi, or also known as GeForce GT300 series will virtually transform the gaming experience into a whole new level of excitement by providing a never seen Life-Like 3D rendering GPU. Take a look at the following images rendered with the NVIDIA Fermi 3D Rendering engine:

Quote:
Okay, don’t look at me. Those pictures are 100% digital citizen with realistic skins and glares. This information was actually a leaked from Chinese’s forum PCzilla. The leak said that NVIDIA GeForce GT300 will carry as many as 512 processing cores that is high enough to produce a real-life imaging quality, where it can render faces like real, plus the natural looking hair and skin glare. The NVIDIA Fermi would be distributed on both PC (GT300) and notebook (GTS 360 M) market, which enable users to enjoy a high level of graphical performance on both desktop and mobile environment.

I also think its fake because I find it hard to believe such graphics to be improved all and a sudden so drastically.

Look at for example games like Crysis, a game released in 2007. Its been dominant for nearly 3 years, no other company can catch them in terms of graphics.

And suddenly we see something like this! Its difficult to believe in that. I want to see this when I play the game.
This would be more believable if it had been a replay or something from a photograph, movie, etc.
But at this stage, I don't expect graphics of PC games to be as advanced as that.

And look its a cutscene, black bars from top to bottom. Its not from ingame screenshots.

Nvidia do it for advertisement purpose so that people want to buy their graphics cards.

It's all well and good to be able to render a single face. But that doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

I don't really think the screens look that remarkable. Crysis is over 2 years old and look at the character faces in that game:

Crytek used Nvidias first DX10 cards to create those graphics, so Nvidias new Fermi DX11 cards will be capable of so much more. The new cards will have 512 CUDA cores and 3 billion transistors.

Next Generation CUDA Architecture, Code Named Fermi

the most important improvement will be the polygone tesselation capability ... to make a model look high poly ... still game models have to within some polygone limits ...
