What about Call of duty, IGI, Battlefied 2142 ??

For me it would be Call of Duty 4, Crysis Wars (the multiplayer expansion), Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Frontlines Fuel of War, Quake 2 (although a sci-fi FPS game) it is one of the best FPS PC games in history.

Here are the best rated FPS games of all time on the PC.
Although Crysis goes on top. I don't agree that it is the best FPS game of all time. But its reputation has certainly been increased due to its amazing graphics (the graphics has helped it to reach the #1 rank spot).

However, I find the multiplayer version of Crysis Wars from Warhead to be one of the most addictive for me. Because it is nothing like the offline gameplay of Crysis where you see mostly landscape environments.

You see maps that are completely different from the obvious level maps of Crysis, which is hard to describle. But if you've played multiplayer maps such as "Armada" you'll understand how completely different Armadas map is compared to the original Crysis sequal.

For offline, Crysis is one of my favourite, but I wouldn't look at it as an FPS game. Partly because it is one of those games where it looks just a bit too different from the usual FPS games, and if that is what you consider as a good thing, I don't know.

But I look at it in a good way, although not with the First Person Shooter perspectivity. Because you can grab enemies by their neck, or ride millitary vehicles, throw objects. This is what makes it very different compared to the rest of the FPS games.

If you compare it to the typical FPS game COD 4 or Doom for example you'll see these games are usually shoot and kill based games. maximumly stab an enemy with a knife, but that's about it really.
You can't for example grab enemies or throw objects in COD 4 like you can do in Crysis.

Call of Duty 1 and 2 were good. Project IGI is rather obscure

. It must've been at least 5 years since I played that. Yeah I remember it being pretty enjoyable. BF2142 is good as well. Improved a lot of BF2's game mechanics, but lost a lot of the magic as well I thought.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead are good games too. I love the freedom and suit powers.

But i'm leaving my list as it is.

yes i've just completed it ( single player ) on hardened
the special operations mode is good
but multiplayer SUCKS
