Thanks, nice idea.

So I'm playing the game right now. Graphics are stunning really.. The models especially are great, I'm not talking about the faces, I'm talking about the whole players models, they are amazing. The grass is even better than on PES 09 it's perfect..

And they're planning to use a new engine for PES 11 rofl

Edit 1 : Just noticed new jostling.. it's much better than PES 09

Edit 2 : Damn that cutting-edge 360° feature brings a real difference. Old habits die hard and it's difficult to stop moving in 8 directions even with an analog stick but god when you do, and see the proper animation... It's not as "subtle" and difficult to trigger as it is on Fifa 10 PC so I guess it's gonna take less time to get used to it.

Edit 3 : Damn too bad I can't record a replay guys, the AI (RIERA) just made an awesome new trick..

Edit 4 : The crowd problem when a team scores is fixed and the crowd booes loudly when the away team scores.

Edit 5 : Keepers are still lalalala

Edit 6 : Headers are much better. Scored two and I don't know if it's just the animations but it felt really nice. The timing and the positioning are more important than ever now. I've heard some people complain about the high through passes in PES 09, well in PES 10 it's worse (the through passes in general, low or high) and they better not press the button too early when trying to intercept. Needs confirmation as I only played 5 matches so far but I think there's a lot less CPU assistance to position your player. So finally the 'positioning' special ability could become really crucial when buying lateral defenders. Cuz I've missed a lot of balls and I doubt it's just a coincidence.

Edit 7 : If I'm being completely honest I think that if the goal was to make the game more realistic I'm not so sure it's achieved because I really have the feeling the game is much easier now.. The 360° movements makes it so easy for attackers to dribble a whole defense now..

Sweet! That's an area where PES always lacked, glad it has been changed.

On the PC atleast....

II started downloading from Pesfan only for the servers to go down, as usual....

Now I restarted from those mirrors and my connection is lalalala, it will take atleast 5 hours

What about the atmosphere in general? It was like a funeral in PES 2009.

So far it's great to me.. the crowd reacts loudly to every shot, fouls, and I was really surprised to hear it 'boo' like that when the IA scored

But there's no commentary in the demo and I play with headsets so take that into account please.

i completely agree

the graphs are really good

but still need some polishing and more detailed textures (specially in turf)

That's a cause for concern, especially since most previews were stating that it's much harder to dribble past defenders now....

Are you playing on the highest difficulty?

Of course.. Well I guess it's harder if you play with the D-Pad but I've played a dozen of matches and I'm starting to get used to the 360° and it's very very useful to dribble. I was already good at dribbling the CPU but now..

Of course it'll be different online but still.. Well after all, it'll make the midfield battle critical which is realistic but I hope we won't see final scores such as 8-4 in ten minute matches..

Maybe the teams are just weak I don't know.. Germany for example is helpless..

So is the 360 degrees more genuine now on the PES 2010 compared to the FIFA 10 PC demo?
And what about the defense are strikers still zig-zagging past defenders or has that been improved?

I am downloading the demo now 11% I hope this is much better than FIFA 10 on PC.

The thing is that I'm an optimist so I'm probably not the guy you should trust.

Because I've read some feedback on PESfan and some people are disappointed but I think that's because they compare the game to the NG version of Fifa.

I only compared it to PES 09 and to Fifa 10 PC so yeah I think the 360° is great.. It's 'subtle' but not as subtle as it is on Fifa 10 PC and it's immediately noticeable provided you use and know how to use an analog stick.

I haven't seen any PES09-like zig-zagging no but once you start getting used to the 360° dribbling...you won't collide through them like they don't exist but you'll avoid them one by one.

At least I hope it'll be more difficult against humans. A friend is coming by this afternoon we'll play and see.

Well I am reading all of peoples feedbacks on the game to see how much its improved.

Infact I am not comparing it to the next-gen consoles either, far from it. I judged the FIFA 10 PC demo on its own merits and it was disappointing.

But if PES 2010 is better than PES 2009 than most probably I'll love it.
The only thing I am concerned about is the defending, I hope I can take off the ball from strikers, cos in PES 2009 they kept bypassing me and boom scored!

That I hope its fixed in the game.
But I am not all too bothered about the AI or CPU difficulty since I am more of an online gamer.

But I'll see I've nearly completed the download 96% complete

Can't wait to play it!

This game is bloody amazing.

Graphic wise it's miles better then FIFA 10 NG (yup!). I have compared both and well in PES 2010 players just look natural and true to life, not like plastic dolls

Atmosphere in the crowd definitely improved! You can hear booing and other sort of mobilisation force

.

Animations are less robotic and more natural. Bring backs memories of PES 6

. It's a turn in right direction.

I have played this game on Regular and AI is good. Very good. Goalkeepers actually make effort to save the ball, you can see some crazy saves made by them (reminds me of Boruc :P).

You can see battles in the air

. Battling for possesion is rewarding. AI is clever to change it game pace

. Slow build up/fast counters/fast passing game, etc. I haven't seen AI that capable (except for FIFA NG). Definitely something you have to see for yourself

.

Oh and one tip: pause the game and there is tutorial thing on how to make dribbles, etc. They added 7 new

. If you perform them haha your jaw drops xD.

You feel that KONAMI made an effort and not only talked. Seriously this game oozes with quality.

The minuses I see as of now: shorts are defo too long :P. Pitch is smaller then in FIFA (but I guess it's for playability/gameplay reasons, actions just flow from one pitch to another

).

Game is slower, but still fast for those accustomed to FIFA series. Takes time to get used to.

I am going to play PES 2010. It's definitely my buy this year

. Bah I may say the KING is BACK baby. Still not perfect, but hella playable!

EDIT:

Just saw amazing thing. Quagiarella scored, got happy about it then saw linesman flag up and got lalalalaed off! Nice!

They got rid off ball sound! No more ping-pong sound.

Hello guys! I'm downloading now and will be installing in 15 mins.

I will then post some impressions after hammering the game. It's 4:30 am here in Vancouver...I slept only two hours from 12 till 2.

I will try to play as long as possible before crashing....

I warn you, don't completely trust my opinions because like luikang I am an optimist and have already planned to purchase this game for 2v2 online and BAL and ML. But I am not at all biased and will give you a fair breakdown from my viewpoint as I usually do.

EDIT: Thanks Info0ply, sweet detailed summary and I'm sure I will like this game very much. I don't care much for animations and suchlike. I get impressed when I notice those little but uber realistic touches like the offside goal thing you mentioned and graphical fidelity in the details. Also if the game forces me to play well to win, (unlike fifa PC) all the better!

Ok played some more, player vs player and indeed 360 movement is there ;o. And it's true 360 movement too O_o. Wow. Didn't notice it at first because computer is a hassle :P.

My God the longer I play it the more amazing it gets. There is just too much possiblities of playing this game (much like PES 6 :P).

However, I do agree with the statement: you'll either love it or hate it. I love it. It's just so much better then FIFA 10 PC and it's close to FIFA NG gameplay wise... Hard choice
