Our free GoW league seems to be drawing quite a bit of interest which got us thinking..........wouldn't it be a good idea to open up ALL of our leagues and make them free too and just leave our tournaments and head to head challenge feature for die hard gamers who want to compete for cash?
What do you all think - unlike ladders on other sites, we run leagues which work differently than 'standard' ladders. We have a min/max number of participants, entry criteria based on integrity, skill and sportsmanship ratings and proper fixture schedules over the duration of a 'season' which are fully integrated with our on-site match negotiating system and on-site results submission / reconciliation system. Should we make our leagues free like ladders on other sites or should we keep them as pay to play so winners can win cash prizes? Post here and tell us what you think! we've got a robust system in place on the site aimed at weeding out cheats. Entry criteria for all of our competitions helps stop members with poor integrity / sportsmanship ratings from even entering and our results submission / reconciliation system (which directly impacts member integrity ratings) underpins things.
We won't stop 100% of the cheats 100% of the time but the combo of integrity and sportmanship ratings help us ensure the risk is negligible! |
