this game has lost the appeal for me..the fifa series have gotten worst over the years..and the online play is just as silly...there is no fun in the online play due to the fact that...the game is like a cartoon.how can someone score a goal just by hitting the crossbar and then score..cheap liittle goals like those are whats killing the game..the game is ok..the gameplay is ok..but the corner bug have thrown me off..i played a level 19 player and all he did was score from the corner bug trick..aimagine if there were no corner bugs..then he would be a level 1..the online play is just silly..for online play to be better ea need to fix...
!... the dumb corner bug..
the dummies that enter a tournament and dont want to play..where is there brains....we should have a system is we invite them more than once they lose.....the corner bug is the worst...its 2008 and yet they have a glitch like that....what is ea doin to fix this problem..

yea man hasn't remember the fifa 07 glitch was the long pass down the field this year is the corner bug , i hate soo much man , i promise thas why i gave up on points on fifa 08 i got over 630 games in ! i had i went to level 7 and boom . i want it to get my avg oponent level up , but i lost lot of points , my avg is 5 but i i have like zero points. i feel your pain man , i wish ea would recognize or test the game before they drop it in the stores , come on ea what happen to fifa 05 tactics it was great .

Corner bug is when the ball hits the crossbar and falls on the head of your opponent`s player,or just hits his body and goes in.
FC LAS VEGAS you may deffend it well,but sooner or later he will score,2 goals out of 10 attempts are always scored.

no, he is right, it's actually easier that way...

when i know someone is trying to corner bug on me (after defending it once) i usually don't let them get another corner shot again after that (at all costs, even if it means tackling)

i just can't stand people who do it, it shows how weak their game is and how limited their goal scoring skills are.

so sad.

you probably don't play on the PS2 platform then, because the bug only exists on the PS2 version of FIFA08.

to defend the corner bug on PS2 is just press the circle button rapidly at the far end of the post works most of the time.

There is no way to always defend the corner bug. If some clown keeps doing it he will score eventually.

I can kinda understand losers doing it in ranked games to get points... "Sweet, sweet ranking points now i am cool."

But i played an UNRANKED game and i won 5-4, all 4 of his goals were the corner bug. Whats the point?

Luckily Ive only had 1 guy try the corner bug against me, I defended it though.....
I thinks the more common bug is the long ball. I cant stand playing against someone who just constantly hoofs the ball down the field, I dont even like them doing it once.

It is probably the most frustrating thing about this game... I mean once I know a guy is doing it, it screws up my whole game. Defending the corners are not impossible, but if a guy gets 4-5 corners.. he usually puts one in, and that's usually the bloody winning goal!...

Although beating a guy after I know he uses the corner bug is more than satisfying.. I have a quick message set up to send to him right after.. it includes a lot of swears and a declaration of his pathetic play

I hear ya. At kickoff you come to know if its a long ball noob. They pass the ball back to the defender immediately. Then wait in one place and then BAM!! Next thing you know ETO or Messi and running down the field.

Corner bug can be defended by placing your defender in the goal at the far post. Not near or center but far post and then press O violently. It works 90% of the time.

When someone uses a corner bug on me it gets me charged up and I get really attacking. Then I start using possession football and don't let him touch the ball at all.
