Kick Off
By the end of this weekend there will be an important update with regard to the exact starting date of the competition. I initially said December 17 and then brought it forward to December 15. I hope nearly all of you don't have a problem with us bringing the tournament forward even sooner. Since we have a number of players coming in, the tournament might kick off sooner. So do keep in touch and if you haven't entered as yet, do so as soon as possible. The earliest possible kick off date might be December 11. So if you have a problem with that then let us know. Also, if you're added as a friend of gamertag Derdocar on Xbox Live then we can always alert you via messages about the date of your next fixture so you don't have to check here a hundred times a day

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section for Complicated Issues
1. What happens if we mistakenly entered a 5 minute per half game and the rules state the match must be 6 minutes per half? - If the match hasn't kicked off you must restart the game with the right settings. - If the match has already kicked off then you will have to finilalalala with your chosen time duration. The result will stand. But you must make note of the wrong time duration in your match report. For every three group matches (in either round) where you played the wrong time duration we will subtract a point from your total. This will be done to discourage players from playing with the wrong time duration on purpose. 2. We couldn't play the game because I couldn't find my opponent's gamertag ID on Xbox Live. It's later confirmed that the opponent spelt his gamertag incorrectly, or placed a space or wrong symbol in it on this site. Result: It is a player's responsibility to forward his correct gamertag to us. If his opponent cannot find him online due to this error then his opponent will receive full points for the victory while the player with the wrong details get zero points. So we encourage all players to double check that they entered their gamertag details correctly. Note: If the spelling error is made by the organisers of the tournament then we will arrange for the match to be rescheduled. In any case we will be online when the matches take place, and if there are any problems will be there to locate players and solve the issue.

Do note the change to the Points System
If this points system is too complicated for you to understand. This is what you must do: All you need to do is play your match until the end, until there is a winner. You just report back your exact score to us, by telling us whether the match was won in normal time, extra time or penalties. We will calculate the points correctly. You don't have to worry about anything else. Cheers This is how we calculate the points (you don't need to understand this): Unique Fair Points System in the Group Stage Win in normal time: 5 points Win in extra time: 4 points Win on penalties: 3 points (this will be regarded as a draw) Lose in normal time: 0 points Lose in extra time: 1 point Lose on penalties: 2 points (this will be regarded as a draw) As you can see in the group stage if the score is tied after 90 minutes then matches will go to extra time. If the scores are still tied the match is considered a draw. Since penalty shoot-outs are an important skill in the game then we will play the shoot-out with the winner receiving a bonus point (as already stated in the points system above). If both players have not read these rules and stop their game at either full time or after extra time without playing a penalty shoot out. Then the following will occur: Draw stopped after 90 minutes: both teams get 1 point Draw stopped after extra time: both teams get 2 points No further punishments will be given, because by not completing the match or playing penalties you are already punishing yourself by not giving yourself a chance to gain more points. # Reasons for this change. This is a unique points system taking into account old and current systems. In the old system a draw would receive 50 percent of the points compared to a win. In the current real system a draw receives 33 percent of the points, which under certain circumstances where both teams play very well it doesn't properly reward the teams. However in order to avoid abuse where both teams settle for draws and receive 50 percent points our unique system provides a proper balance. How: A player has an incentive to gain more points with a win if he finishes the match off in normal time. i.e. 5 points. There's a difference from a player who loses in extra time getting just 1 point (25 percent) compared to the winners 4 points in this case. A match that is drawn after extra time but won on penalties give the winner even less points, so that the loser in this case gets 66 percent (2 points) compared to the winners 3 points. However here a winners 3 points compared to winning at normal 5 points is 60 percent and can be considered like a draw in itself. This system therefore encourages winning football, but there's also relative rewards for those who perform better but still lose in extra time or penalties. i.e. you get 66 percent. And, winning on penalties obviously isn't as good as winning in normal time so you get less points but still more than your opponent.
