If you are unsure on who you are playing, check theleague pages on the website as they contain the team and it's manager of each team.

Yeah cheers for that.
Just noticed all your champions banners on the site. They are class! Oh by the way in the history page it says Chelsea won the cup last year but I was Aston Villa. Last edited by jacksback21; 10-10-2008 at 02:47 PM. |

Unfortunatly the only recent championship that Aston Villa has won was thw Premier Reserve Southern League in 07/08 (hence the empty stadium in the background!) oh well...does the job! Middlesbrough was even harder! Had to go back to Carling Cup 04 for that one! Its gonna be hard for next season considering only 4 star teams!

F09WCL Sports Update
Some great games have been played across all leagues to open up teh F09WCL Q4 2008 season! Lets go into what we have seen so far! Premier League The premier league season was kicked off on Thursday night with the absolute drumming of Hull City by Middlesbrough, deafeating the tigers 6-1. Boro started off strong and Afonso Alves displayed an inspiring performance with 4 goals on the night. Hull City Manager refused to comment on what appears to be a long seaosn ahead of them. PSV met up with FC Porto at Philips Stadion in a double header that showed plenty of endevour. Their first meeting saw teh two teams tied at full time 1 a piece with the second match seeing Porto pull through with a late goal from Adriano defeating PSV 1-0. Porto Manager aldo1987 commented after the match stating that the PSV Manager was a "cheeky cow" and that the late goal was definately there! Porto then flew home to face Real Betis in what seemed to be a comfortable 3-0 victory for porto. Real Betis will have some work to do before their next match in teh Premier League. National League The opening match of the entire F09WCL saw Sporting Portugal defeat Celtic in a exciting 1-0 victory. Polga of Sporting receiving a BOG with an elacious performance. MATCH UP OF THE WEEK Tensions were high during the French local derby where Marseille made the travel up to Paris to face them in a double header. A very strong start by PSG saw them 3-0 at half time but let through 2 late goals to Marseille in the dying minutes shortly after the send off of a PSG player with a red card. PSG gave it all tehy had and claimed victory winning 3-2. An obviously depleted PSG weren't in the game at all in their second match with PSG going down to Marseille 5-0! Niang create havoc for the PSG defenders scoring 4 goals in both games combined! In an action packed week for Marseille they current sit atop the ladder with 5 wins and only 1 loss and are keeping their eyes directed at taking out the National League already this early in the season. Conference League The conference league opened up with Benfica holding a convincing win over Lazio, deafeating them 5-1. Their 2 follow up games were a much more competitive affair with 1-1 draw in the second game and Benfica taking out their last game 2-0. Benfica's Suazo scoring 5 goals across all 3 games shows plenty of promise for Benfica in the future. Benfica seem to be the name on everyones lips in the conference league after more convincing wins over Fulham 6-0, Rangers 3-1 with mixed results against Portsmouth and Sunderland. Benfica curently on 7-2-2 already places them on top of the Conference League early on in the season. Thanks for tuning in. Come back next week for another F09WCL Sports Update!
