The only drawback with a new chat thread is that when it gets busy, there's more posts to go through and more chance of missing replies.

Hm, I imagine the chat thread to be a house, people live there, and it's a little community in the forums, and people pass by from time to time.

A new chat thread is like moving house - you have to unpack things. XD
