Need for Speed Carbon CRASH to Desktop issue!!!

Ok that's enough, I can't take it anymore. My NFS Carbon crashes to the Desktop immediatly! After completing around 2-5 races (or after about 1-2 hours of play), sometimes it crashes after only 10-15 minutes. Can someone please tell me any solution for this issue? I tried searching the web and I found several solutions, but none worked.

Hey

There are no solutions! It happens to eveybody online playing. Sometimes you crash to desktop on your 1st online race - and sometimes you can race for hours with no problems. Make sure you have all latest patches but even then you will crash to desktop eventually.

Hi Ameer l glad you got the patches to work, l would of answered you question on friday but l was in a very bad mood, as my mum said " the air turned blue" and yes l'm still living at home it's cheaper, as for the question only the support team can sort that out which a kind admin posted.

l suffered with the same problem with the crashes when using Windows XP it would crash with no reason, l did submit the problem to the support team they replyed saying "shut down certain task in Task manager", but they never'd answered back after that, l'm guessing you already tried that.

It's one step forward, two steps back.

Thank you for helping about the patch, but even with the patch I couldn't even log in. So, I think you're right, it's one step forward, two steps back.
Oh, and I'm sad for you because you are in bad mood, I hope you get well quickly.

Lol, I'm not playing online... It crashes even if I'm playing in career (I can't play online yet, my account won't log in

please i've vista32bit and i instaled without problem nsf carbon but if i want play show me only EA and than is dark screen and than show me message appcrach....[excuse me please for my english iam from czech rep.but living in uk

Have you inserted the Carbon DVD in your DVD drive?
(If yes, try updating your NFS Carbon to the latest patch (1.4))

it happens to me, since i made an account in-game, if i go through options too fast it goes back to desktop

and i downloaded the patches 1.3 and 1.4 and i run them but they dont update my game

We all deal with this nervous problem of continuous crash which happens also in most wanted only on online mode there. Believe me when i say i contacted that self-called department of support over 3-4 times containing 4-5-6 mails in each and every time i get the same typical answers for drivers,tasks, patches and install-uninstall procedures. They got ready texts which they copy and paste in such mails despite that this spoils their image to our eyes, they do it! Every previous driver is supposed to solve crash problem but it didn't, every install-uninstall doesn't help the game crashes even on fresh windows system and patches...oh well... ea announced that 1.4 patch is supposed to improve stability ONLY on vista, xp is not mentioned. EA doesn't do anythin, Nvidia or Ati also, sound companies the same, we can't cause we're not game developers, then...... who will?? When profit talks, we silence! They will always send us here to solve problems, but really who will solve whose problem and based on what knowledge? Based on what tools? So forum doesn't help either cause we just mention a problem just in case EA notices them and decide to take action.... in which dream i wonder....

I couldn't agree with you more Spy3501... You do have a point... But anyway... for all you out there trying to patch Carbon. This WORKS !

You must install 1.3 patch FIRST in order to install 1.4... Download 1.3 euromulti patch, and 1.4 euromulti (you can try with patches on english or your language but i don't guarantee success) If you have tryied to patch the game before by copying the patch to your Carbon folder and then patching it... Delete the patch from the Carbon folder along with the regini file... Then... Put in your DVD and replace the NFSC exe by copy pasting it from the cd to your Carbon folder... Then... copy the 1.3 euromulti to you Carbon folder and activate it... Give it 10 to 15 minutes time... Even if it closes down.. give it time... then... Restart your computer and launch the game... It should be patched... Then copy the 1.4 patch to your Carbon folder and execute it... Again, give it TIME... And then Restart your computer...

That's how i patched it...
