Default NFS ProStreet Feedback thread

No free Roam. That`s what made the game. The physics are terrible. Maybe it`s my system, or the fact that I mainly play true race sims, but I have played underground 2 a lot, and that has too be the best NFS there is!

I`m just thankful that a friend of mine bought the game, and I got too try it out on there. Saved me some pennies!

i hate it when people say the steering is realistic, becouse it just isnt, Ive never had such terrible steering (like try to turn slightly and the wheels screech and you loose all your speed rofl). ive driven cars for christ sake on track days! (maybe it is realistic when it goes from straight to full lock, instead of progressive steering (full locks in about 3 seconds of holding the button down, allowing you to tap the button to keep the corner smooth)

Default lalalala Game

Yup this game sux! Ok, nice visuals. But oh did you forget to concentrate on the
actual game play? This game is dire. I've steered a boat and it's more responsive than
the cars in this game. Monday will be the day i take my game back for a refund.
This game's dire. What's happened to the element of this game? I'll tell ya. It's been
flushed down the toilet to make way for fancy graphics! lalalala lalalala lalalala!

You're right, the steering is a bit dodgy, but for me it's the best Need For Speed.

I know a m8 of mine that has NFS Prostreet for the PS3 but I asked him can you change the controls? So that I could Steer with the D-pad and Throttle with the X Button. Cos by default the controls are Ananlogs to steer and R2 to throttle i think. I can't & neva could play NFS like that. So if you can't change them, then I think in my opinion that this NFS title is RUINED. So what im gonna do is actually rent the game, see if I can get on with it or not, see if it's actually worth going to my nearest game shop & blowing £50 on it.

You can't change the controls on PS3?

Ok well
Im gonna get it anyway, Sod it. But im sure it will be the last eva NFS I will get.
IGN.com have gave it a rating of 6.8 & Most Wanted got better at 8.5 lol.
But surely the series must die off now after Prostreet. Unless they make a all round top quality final Title just to end the series.

It has downed it for me abit cos of the Controls mainly but im gonna get it based on the fun anyway. Well Got to get it anyway for the LOD clan lol.

I've played all off the games in the NFS serie except two. I find this one by far the worst. Not that it is a game with plentyful bugs, not that it is boring or bad looking or anything like that. I've enjoyed it but I've had enough. It makes me sick that I am NOT able to skip the cutscenes. Each cutscene takes about 10 secons, on average there are 5 races on a trackday. I've yet to count the number of races and the races I've done again but I'm fairly sure that I've missed atleast an hour of my life watcing COMMERCIALS. I find it disgusting that they force so many commcerials into the game and force me to watch them. Atleast on TV I can change the channel or fast forward through them on DVDs or video.

I'm not sure about the PS3 version, but if you have a PC, the PC version of Pro Street allows you to customize your gamepad exactly to your taste. I also prefer to use x button for acceleration as it gives better stability in my hand and feels more natural as a hand control. Using the buttons also makes it less likely that you will accelerate and brake at the same time. I use the Xbox 360 controllers on the PC.

Well, installing it on the pc as we speak. So I'll be playing in a few minutes.

Everyone's got different ideas about how games should be, and how they turn out. They're NEVER going to be like real driving, so how "real" do people expect them to be?

It is only a game of course, so hopefully should just be a case of getting used to how it runs after a while.

I'll be back with comments once I've had a few races, l8ter!! :-)

I expected that a lot of people would be complaining about Pro Street because it's so different to what we're used to from the Need For Speed series.

I personally prefer this new route that Need For Speed is taking and I don't want the series to return to the far fetched fantasy type of driving like before.

Ok, so I'm a few races in, and only done Grip and Drag races so far, (looking forward to some Drifting soon!!).

I haven't quite got my graphics sorted yet, so it's a bit jumpy at times, need to get it exactly right so all runs smoothly, but pretty pleased so far.

I quite like it at the moment, totally different style of play to the other games, and the cars do handle differently, with a lot more movement with braking & cornering especially.

If people had read the reviews of the game then they'd know how different it was going to be and shouldn't have expected it to be like the previous titles!!

Well have the game and completed 4%. Awesome game, Love the drags, Abit confusing at times. But yer overall a good game. Just one thing though and that's the Control setup, We need a control update for the PS3 users. I reckon poeple will use wheels but what about some of us that don't like using wheels. This is the only issue that I have for the game.

Please EA Release a Controller Update!!!

Great game,
The customizing is amazing although I don't really like the way you add vinyls,
Grip is my favourite so far and I like Time attack.

Keep your opinions and suggestions coming in guys, and I'll make sure to pass them on to the devlopers for you.

Leeneo82L - what exactly is confusing?

I'll make sure to highlight the control configuration as a major problem, and suggest that an update be released in which the controls can be mapped as a player sees fit (as is the case with some other EA games).

Why no SPLIT SCREEN two player mode on the PC version?

Infact, no splitscreen mode on Carbon or Underground 2

I'm not even sure if you can play someone over LAN anymore.

This means you are forced to try and find some alternative solution to play against someone over the internet who is sitting right next to you.

Why are they making multiplaying options so restrictive nowadays on the PC.

What's planned for the future? Are they going to remove the two player option on other PC versions of EA games such as Fifa?

I just posted this in a different thread, but will comment on the same thing here - Autosculpt is very annoying as you no longer get the visual lines to see exactly which section of the relevant part you are about to sculpt - VERY annoying!!

Also - When applying vinyls sometimes Mirror shows on automatically, but doesn't happen, you have to turn it off then on again. I'd rather see it off as default because I like to have different vinyls on each side especially when applying Manafacturer decals. I even had Mirror on the other day and the opposite side vinyl was upside down & back to front, so was truly mirrored!!

Body vinyls, like flames, tribal, etc, should be mirrored as default, but not any of the others -Just a thought.

BTW - I'm playing the PC version, don't know what users of other platforms think.

I think they should of made nfs pro street online on ps2 because it would be much better online than offline plus all the people that still have a ps2 that goes online would be happy if it was online.

I miss the tuning in Underground 2, because if you remember when they had like
Front bumpers to choose from and back and side scrits and all that... Well on pro street you only have 4 bodykits and thats all... i think this suckss. They shut give you more stuff to choose from... But stil its ok... not bad... If someone wants to play online with me jsut tell me

Bloody hell! As if it couldn't get more frustrating than this! Why didn't they jus keep it on the x360?? It is a totally ruined pc experience and i'm in tears that i bothered to even touch it... going back first thing monday... get a good strategy instead or a shooter like crysis( which isn't bad but i've played better...)
Nutter...

For me the PC version is excellent. However, my main PC specific issue is with the removed two player split screen mode. What's the point in having no split screen mode on the PC?
