I've discovered an error in the ps3 version, you lose some parts as you change the type of your car, I've mailed this to ea-support, but instead of doing something with it, they've told me to post it here..
this is what I got..:

Regards,

It's a freaking error in the game, not a suggestion, the game just doesn't function properly, how hard can it be to mail that to the person in charge, that there should be an update, which makes sure that my parts don't disappear anymore...

The thing I've always associated with the recent need for speed games is the live action cutscenes and the open world that you can explore.
None of that is available in ProStreet.
The game is quite good, with the nice damage model and the improved Autosculpt system.

I like the game.
I think the customisation takes a bit too long compared to the other series. There should have been like, a "Copy Vinyl Layer" or something like that. Maybe even an "Adjust again" so you can make separate vinyls instantly similar dimensions. That would make the cool looking pieces of art a lot better, and easier to make.
I liked how the Autosculpt worked before this game, where you got the neon outline to show what you were doing. And im definately glad DownHill Drifts are gone because i hated those.

Does anyone know where screenshots go if i upload them from my xbox 360? i want to make some wallpapers. Thanks.

Haha! I've found the reason this game sucks so bad!
Difficulty.
Start of the game is way too easy - the first race days.
After the first Showdown it's average.
After the second showdown, to have any chance of winning to have to become some sort of super tuner with millions of pounds. This is made impossible by constantly receiving "1x Total Repair Marker" as a reward for dominating a race day. Also, not everyone is a world class car tuner. I'm pretty good at driving games, but i dont want to have to know the exact setting for my suspension compression in both the front and rear, just so that my Nissan will go "Eeeekkk" round a corner and be satisfied by beating the game.

However the configuration for drag racing is appalling, it is almost impossible to change gear without veering all over the track!!
We are also playing it on the Wii. I say 'we' as the Wii controls are simple enough for even my 5 year old to master.

I have always enjoyed racing games but pretty much sucked at them technically. I reckon the rest of the family are going to find it hard to get me off the Wii this Christmas holiday though because I am having great fun playing this.

The soundtrack just makes it even better too!!

Default Feedback on ProStreet

Dear EA.

I purchased ProStreet on launch day here in the UK. I already have NFS Underground and Carbon, and enjoyed both a lot. Completed both previous games to the end of the career. Therefore I was really looking forward to the next installment.

However, I must say I was very disappointed. I don't feel the graphics are as good as Carbon, the cars don't look as realistic and the choice of tracks feels limited. The loss of free-roam is a big shame, and I find the menu graphics and the voice-over audio in the menus extremely annoying.

However, above all that, its the controls that drive me crazy. The unquie control style of previous NFS games is lost. There is no progressive stearing and very little variation in the different cars.

I am so disappointed with this game that I took it back to the shop and they gave me a full refund.

Such a shame.

TO EA : to be honest with you lot ..this game is **** ! the requirements for pc is huge ! ..well my specs are way over and still plays very slowly, i need to lower all the settings and still plays very slow sometimes ! my pc is brand new, no junk or registry errors. my specs are Intel pentium D 2.66 GHZ DUAL CORE , 2 GB DDR2 667 MHZ , 250 GB Maxtor HD , Jetway ATI Radeon X1950 PRO 256MB DDR3 256 BIT , Windows Vista Ultimate With SP1 RC1. And the game is still slow ..there are many bugs in the game and need a patch ASAP ..YES EA WE NEED A PATCH ..THE ISSUES ARE MOSTLY ITS NOT FULLY OPTIMISE FOR DUAL CORE AND THE GAMEPLAY IS TOO SLOW.
TERRIBLE !
I RATHER STICK TO JUICED 2 ..THEY HAVE HIGHER REQUIREMENTS BUT IT PLAYS VERY SMOOTH COMPARED TO YOUR **** RELEASE OF PRO STREET

SUCH SUCH A SHAME

I'm also have to turn down the graphics, just to get rid of the stutter here and there.

Default Loving the old school racing!

With everyone moaning about the lack of free roam and traffic/police in this latest incarnation of the NFS, try looking back to earlier versions of the game; specifically NFS Porsche Challenge, released in 2000.
This game provided nothing more that staight racing in a range of Porsches from various eras. Free roam and police chases only appeared in more recent outings from the NFS line and, although fun, aren't really necessary to my mind. I'm glad EA returned to old school racing and, having completed the game twice, I'll continue to buy NFS games in the future ... as long as it's on PC.
Just a couple of niggles - not too keen on the soundtrack and the raceday announcer is seriously irritating.

Bought for PC....dissapointed it's changed from a sort of illegal racing thing to a more organised race day set-up. Where have the police chases gone? That was my favourite part of the NFS series. I have only played to game for an hour or so....maybe I'll get into it more.

Default I wonder what everyone was expecting....

I had written a very nice post explaining everythin in detail. Now, since my modem and explorer teamed up to make me the favour of losing 30 minutes work into nothingness, I will make a short version because If I don't I'll never post this again:

1-> I've played many NFSs
2-> The best NFS was Porsche Unleashed. It is by far the best racing game I've ever played and if you intend to make me think otherwise, give up. It is way too good for me to change my mind. What would really rock would be a remake of this game. A graphical upgrade would be enough, all these great Video Cards out there make it a good thing to have.
3-> Despite disaponting me in many aspects, the best game in visual customization was Underground. Autosculpt fell way too short of the Underground array of parts options.
4-> I did not play UG2.
5-> I liked Free Roam on Most Wanted, but in Carbon it just felt like something useless and bothersome. The reason for the difference is the way the racers rank themselves in...what was that city's name again? MW place. Police Files for racer ranks was a cool thing.
6-> I've played Pro Street up, as of now, up until the 3rd showdown. I've already beaten the drag king (Deathtrap, my 67 corvette made short work of him) and the speed king is next. Possibly before I make Showdown 3.
7-> Need for Street Pro Street is probably second in line in my NFS preference rating.
8-> Night Races all the time get tiresome after a while. So do day races. Although alternating games of day and night races is not as good as having day and night courses (or perhaps day and night TIMES), it is already something.
9-> Autosculpt doesn't really seems to have improved though. It has more parts, but I agree with whoever said he missed the blue lines.
10-> If the hood and spoiler don't affect your downforce, why the hell are they in the wind tunnel?
11-> The game has some graphical quirks, despite being very beautiful. The clouds of smoke and dust look like they've been taken out some so-so PS one game. The cars that are not painted with Matte paints look like they've been covered in some plastic resin or something (shouldn'e gloss, foir instance, be more...plain?). I like shiny, but it seems to be in excess. I do not know with which cars and kits this happens, but the 911 GT2 Wide Body Kit screws up the vynil placement. It doen't shows sometimes, get's broken on others, doubled on other places... yes, I've moved and sized and it IS a bug.
12-> I miss Body Vinils
13-> I wish there were more categories for vynils... graphics alone has 97 vynils. I quit apllying vynils when I think of scrolling through that.
14-> I wish I could take screenshots of any scene in the game (as you almost can) and SAVE it to my PS3's hard drive. "Send to NeedForSpeed.com" is quite a disappointing thing to see when you thought you were going to save that so cool scene to show your friends. Also, my Speed Viper has been totaled in the most AMAZING ways! I wish I could use this command AFTER its been totaled instead of just seeing an auto screen shot.
15-> I used to hate american muscle cars. NFS PS has wheelies.
16-> "WHEEELIEEE!!!! WEEEEE!!!!!!" Wheelies with almost anything that not traditional american muscle cars (including the boss' Mustang. It is too new and round for that) are simply... not right (note: I have plans of Wheelieng my Zonda, if I can. Just because it would be so hilarious if I managed to pull it off)
17-> The former two are to say that I once did a 289m wheelie with Deathtrap and I didn't even have a single replay to watch my deed. You do all those cool things and can't even see them yourself, who would say save them, which would be great! Damn, even Ridge Racer saves replays. This seems like a silly mistake, considering EA's high quality standards.
18-> I've got a weird bug when I was passing my Corvette C6 (old drag car, now sold) through the wind tunnel. When I moved from the front bumper to the spoiler, the spoiler vanished and a message displayed in big, red letters : "ERROR: NO AUTOSCULPTABLE PARTZ FOUND!!!11!1!ONEONE". It probably wasn't exactly like this one but it actually had the 1!ONE thing (which amused me immensely!)
19-> Someone complained about the Soundtrack. I don't think this person(persons) has played Carbon with Exotics all the way... the horror will stay with me forever!
The soundtrack sounds repetitive after a while, though. My favorite is still Underground 1's.
20-> I don'e know if it's just me but the tuning sometimes just doens't seems to work at all. Even if I move the sliders all the way to one side, restart the practice, and move them all the way to the other side, it still seems like the car changes almost nothing at all. This made me give up on my 911GT2 (DAMN! And I love Porsches so much I've beaten Carbon with a Cayman (which was, actually, the fastest car I've ever seen in those canyons(except for the final Audi, that gave me some trouble, but the others.. hehe, overtaking in the first corner ftw))) it ended up as my drift (dump) car. Lucky me I've got a free car marker on a drag event and the Zonda's quite better.
21-> Despite all the complaints, this is still a GREAT game, for me. Damage could be more realistic (if you've played Porsche Unleashed, you know what I mean), some things could have been more polished, but the overall is still gaining.
22-> Final Request: A name was a start, but a face and a voice would be nice to have. I, for one, hate faceless and voiceless characters. It always ends up with weird things happening because of it (like Cooper's helmet)
23-> Never Mind: Actually, looking at Ryo I think it MIGHT be best not to have a face. If I'm going to be a childish loser like him, no thanks, I'll hate myself too much. EA could provide NFS with less loser friends too... Stef (was it really this name?) and Rolf from PU were cool. You know, someone who's not a hopeless lalalalalalala that won a big car in a lottery (i think I had a good impression of Carbon's Muscle Boss, Angie, I think. But I won't quite remember now. The last guy was OK. A lalalalalalala he was, but one that knew when to call it quits. But the imports guy... I had a Porsche and he was talking to me like that.... it was so good to overtake him in the first corner... so good...)

Not that i dont agree with you but before Porsche there was NFS HP (hot pursuit) one and two, both with car chases. After underground (with no cop chases) people begged for it and it was given. It wasn't bad, it wasn't overly excellent, but people liked the cops in HP1/2 and were disappointed when Underground didnt have them.

the game is boring, its like a fake granturismo, the steering is useless, it's so stiff!!! and the races are boring too, although the drag has improved, but then again you dont need to steer!

i really miss the open world, its what makes a need for speed game unique to every other racing game, and now it's not there, its just plain boring.

i also find my garage complicated, maybe its because i hant played on it enough, but i just find that is not simple. I like things to be simple, the garage isnt simple in any way at all. plus i like to use one car for more than a certain typ of race, if you can do this, then i just need to explore the game more, but i just want to use my cars how i want, and i dont know how to, or even if i can, so because of that, thats made the game a little extra annoying for me.

i cant belive im saying this, but i STILL think that u2 and mw (mainly mw) is the best game, even though there so old.

so please!! when you make your next nfs game, please make it unique, give it an open world, a decent story line, a simple garage, and dont try to make the steering realistic, because that just doesnt work.

i dont even want to rate this game, its just plain boring.

I have completed the game using the Zonda for drag and wheelies. The Zonda is very good. I have stage 4 suspension for it. No need to tune it. I always wheelie the full length of the track.

I have never generally been into American Muscle cars, which is partly why I use the Zonda. I also have purchased the Camaro Concept, which I think is one of the best American cars I have seen.

Matte paint is my favourite type of paint. One thing I have noticed over the years is that most racing games (including Gran Turismo) have the gloss and shine on the cars exaggerated and unrealistic. I think it’s because the games companies like to show off the advanced shader and lighting effects of their games and think that the more gloss you have on the cars is the more impressive the game will look to buyers. I don’t know for sure, but it could be true that most consumers are attracted to that type of look. Personally, I think it’s horrible and also that it makes the cars look like arcade or cartoon cars rather than photo realistic cars. Probably the worst game for excess gloss was NFS Carbon, where the cars looked like they where made of mirrors. The car textures in Pro Street look quite realistic.

Replays would have been good to have in Pro Street. Replays have been a part of racing games for years and I think all NFS games should have Replays.

If you want to use one car for every event, you can purchase the same car from the Car Lot multiple times and link each purchase to seperate race types.

In my opinion, Pro Street is a better game, overall, than Gran Turismo. Pro Street is also the best NFS game. If you really miss free roaming, then you may be interested in the new Burnout Paradise. This is where the Free Roam has gone. This is also one of the reasons why I prefer Pro Street.

Default Nfs Ps

Okay, I just got this game for Christmas and I think it's OK. Notthing brilliant but it's a different kind of setting. Now, normally I'd go for the kind of racing game like nfs underground 2 (which is brilliant).
The driving isn't fantastic but the graphics make up for that. It's a pretty good game all round tho.

Am I the only guy here that likes prostreet? It bwas rubbish at first, but once you get used to it it becomes quite a good game. The steering is only worse because its more realistic, and i think the damage system just add to this. One thing that i'm really naffed off with is the the lack of replays. This wouldnt have been good in say, Underground 2, but in a game where you get quite a lot of damage, it would be really good to see your ride smashed to bits. You could even upload crashes online and have people rate them, like singstar PS3.
