Default NBA 2010 Suggestions Thread

This is a thread where you could post any suggestions you have for NBA 2010.

I only have one, but it is pretty important.

That is backboards. The majority of layups, are nearly ALL layups in the NBA are off the backboard.

In NBA 09, lay ups rarely bounce off the backboard, but when they do 95 percent of the time they miss or dribble in.

What suggestions do you guys have?

Fix the core of the game. They add stupid features every year like DNA and all that lalalala, but they are either dumped the next year or not improved, they are just for the catchphrases to reel people in to the game. Fix the core 5 v 5 gameplay.

1. Fix your team AI. They are thick as bricks, playing against the computer on superstar is freaking impossible, your team doesn't pick up loose balls, they don't get defensive rebounds, they can't defend for ****, every single player gets owned one on one, no help defense, god the list is endless.

2. Why is it that the pg on the opposite team takes the majority of the shots? No matter who it is, and no matter how many shots they miss or make, they just drive drive drive. I guess it exploits the weakness on AI help defense, because once they drive past you and you click back to change to the C or PF it goes to the sg so you can't even defend anyway.

3. They lost defense from about 06 onwards. 07 was the worst nba game ever created, 08 was an improvement, and then 09 is now the 2nd worst nba game ever. Lock down defense is a joke, no point in lock down unless you want to encourage the pg to blow right by you, but even without it you have no real control over your player as he will jump like 5 meters to get in the ballhandlers face without you even telling him to anyway.

4. Shooting is horrible, why did they take away double click shooting? I think they did away with it in 08? Especially when some of the players have wack shots that are lalalalalalaed to time, I don't want to have to learn the specific timing for every single freaking player that I want to shoot with. Oh and don't even try a jumpshot if your not a superstar player because it has like a 30% chance at best. Dunk, dunk, dunk and you will win...maybe.

5. Another point on defense. When the computer runs plays, all their guys are nicely spaced out and making sure they draw their defenders away from the ball, but your guys never close in on the drive, or even attempt to help until its too late. And with the ridiculous timing for blocks where they take like 10 steps then eventually jump into the air and totally miss the guy they were aiming for, its lalalalalalaed.

Ok, I used to love this game, but there is so much wrong with it. I don't want another quirky gimic feature, I would be happy if they got rid of all game modes except for "play now" "dynasty" and "fiba" oh and all star weekend isnt bad (only all star and rookie games and dunk contest tho).

That just reminds me of how they have screwed up dynasty mode. It shouldn't literaly take 30 years to play through a 30 year dynast mode EA. They have added so many stupid features that it makes it almost impossible to actually enjoy building a dynasty.

Case in point; why would I want to hire a F general manager and staff and then get owned for 10 seasons until I can at least get them up to a B level? And you still have to pay the lalalalalalas top dollar, its rediculous. I want to be able to hire the best staff if I so choose. They also make you actually play through practice and lalalala like that to make ur team better. My idea of fun is not playing through endless levels of practice to make the guys better, that is definitely a thing you should be able to sim (the practice court is another useless tidbit to try to distract you from the fact that there is no depth).

Really I was fine for NBA Live 07 for PS2 but the gameplay is way too fake. I don't mind the extra options and stuff but the gameplay just needs to improve; offense, defense, dribbling, stealing, etc.

At least for NBA Live 10 they have the guys from 2K Sports helping out with the game
